  1. FarEast, you officially have my thanks for providing us with such a good review. Keep up the good work, brother. Thanks to the review, you've swayed me into buying one of these rifles as my next major Airsoft purchase. This rifle just strikes me as versatile. Since I already own a customized G3SG/1 for marksman duty, I'm covered in all areas if I buy this beauty. I'll probably pick it up early August from Airsoft GI's warehouse when I go down to Socal for my college orientation (I'm a Norcal boy who'll be attending UC Santa Barbara this fall). Since most fields down south are desert-
  2. Great pictures. What kind of sound suppressor is that?
  3. Thanks for the reply. As for that wobbly stock problem - can it happen on the full-stock variant as well? As for power, I'll probably drop in an M100 spring sometime down the road. Can the internals handle it with no problems and running on an 8.4V 1400 mAh battery?
  4. Very informative review. Keep up the good work from across the pound mate! Your review has convinced me that what I need as my second rifle is not the planned AUG A1 or G36C but this beauty. And with an increasing number of stores carrying this baby here in the States, my range of options is good. I have one question: with the stock spring and bucking in place, can the weapon manage at least a 90-foot range with decent accuracy?
  5. My custom-built G3SG/1. I used the old TM model as a base gun and added many aftermarket parts.
  6. My almost two-year-old G3SG/1. The base rifle is the old TM model. I used it as a customization platform and built it into the closest thing I can get to an airsoft DMR. This is the rifle I can always trust. As long as there is ammo in the magazine and power in the battery, it will keep putting accurate fire on whatever target I point it at. The internals are upgraded, but the emphasis has always been reliability. The rifle now gives a respectable 360-380 FPS and still retains TM's legendary reliability. My preferred side arm. Built from a TM Glock 17 and the new Guarder
  7. Try Airsoft Atlanta. They carry the Trigger Happy G3 steel selector switch. It's not cheap, but it beats buying a new gun.
  8. Very nice AUGs you guys have there. I have a picture request. - CA AUG A1 - TM Glock 17 with Guarder full enhancement kit installed (tan frame) - King Arms AUG 45-round standard magazines with false rounds If someone could post a picture with all these in it, it will much appreciated.
  9. Very impressive. Mine was designed and built in the same vein. Did you have fitting issues with the Guarder threaded steel outer barrel? And where did you source those base plates from? Not entirely. KWA models destined for the European market have both metal slides and painted trademarks. See the review archive for more information on those.
  10. Is that a KWA Glock 18C "sanitized" for the U.S. market?
  11. Thank you. As for the correct base plate, that'll be a future purchase since right now I don't see any point in paying $20 in shipping just for a couple of those from a HK-based retailer. For now, a piece of electrical tape over the Tokyo Marui markings on that base plate will do.
  12. Some better pictures of my new sidearm, taken in bright daylight. I'm a purist at heart, and my weapons reflect that. It's all genuine GLOCK markings and there's none of that unrealistic "MILSPEC" or "TOKYO MARUI" stuff. However, the gun still performs as a Tokyo Marui should. Very accurately and very dependably, that is.
  13. Brand-new GLOCK 17. A stock Tokyo Marui served as the base gun and a Guarder full replacement kit was installed. Based on test results (~150 rounds fired at a 10-meter range), it has proven itself to be both accurate and reliable so far. It has yet to see any real action.
