  1. The Colt traded lower is something like $35 if I remember correctly. If you want yours fast, it might be better solution.
  2. Wasn't there a stateside shop recently declared official dealer by WETTI (i.e., they carry the ver 2 GBB)? Maybe give them a shot. One of them that posted as GGI is called Horizon Tactical Airsoft. There was another I remember, but the name escapes me at the moment.
  3. Assuming all your parts fit, swapping would require removal of the stock itself (slide off if carbine, unbolt if A2), removal of buffer, recoil spring and buffer tube (which requires removal of the upper). The airsoft buffer tube is probably not staked, so it just screw off. It's certainly not as easy as, say, swapping an upper. If you have the telescoping stock, I wouldn't go back to the A2 stock, especially since there are no more batteries to carry.
  4. Wow, those aftermarket parts truly make the WA versus WE debate even more interesting. I was about to commit to a G&P WAM4 given the wobble fix and the new PGC mags, but this changes things entirely.
  5. A #7 Oring wrapped around the upper receiver front takedown hinge seems to do the trick also for real AR15s. Google "AR15 oring" and the first link has photos. This has been reported by uscmCorps to work for the G&P WAM4, perhaps it'll work for the WE, since the principle is essentially the same.
  6. I don't know how easily PVC deforms, but I bought the G&P tool, and after using it a few times, there is quite a bit of wear on the (steel) teeth, especially if you want to tighten the nut to anything near 50ft-lbs.
  7. I have no idea, actually. Last I heard, for the "general public" at least, you had to get one of their SR-15 IWS complete rifles to score a URX III. The URX I have is a URX II, so I didn't have too much trouble finding it. I would imagine it helps to know someone at KAC, but, I really don't know anyone. C. Reed Knight III actually posts in some firearms enthusiast forums, maybe send him a PM asking?
  8. Well, he said that it clamps on tight with the barrel nut. It lacks grooves on the sides that actually slide into the slots in the upper receiver (to prevent rotation), so there is the chance that it might rotate.
  9. Thank you very much for those detailed responses! Once reviews come out for the new PGC magazines, I may just pick one of these up.
  10. I have a few questions regarding the G&P system, addressed to uscmCorps or anyone who knows. 1.) What is the front receiver thread? Can you install front ends/rail systems using barrel nuts designed for real AR15s? 2.) What is the stock buffer tube width? Commercial, military, or neither? 3.) Can you install grips intended for real AR15s? 3.) Would you consider this a good skirmish weapon out of the box? 4.) If not in 3, what do you think needs to be upgraded/changed? And pertaining specifically to the G&P body 1.) There are dimensional differences between the G&
  11. How did you fit the WA barrels to your WE?
  12. Nice setup. Both actual EOTech products I hope?
  13. Very nice! Are these the ones modified from STAR AEG outer barrels?
  14. Those grips look almost exactly like TangoDown Battlegrips, which do fit the WE. Though the real article costs twice as much, twice as much is still just $35.
  15. Yeah, good to see that. I've always thought that reduced complexity and a total lack of anything electronic would be an advantage for GBBs.
  16. Well, it carries plates, where do you draw the line? I was about to post some CIRAS pics until I read your comment.
  17. What type of barrel is that? Looks longer than 14.5"
  18. Great to hear, hopefully your prices will be reasonable. The MP5SD is news to me.
  19. Looks great. Good review and nice pics. I've always meant to do a G&P versus real deal comparo since G&P rails are popular and really great for the price, but, since there is already this thread, I'll just add a few things I've noticed about G&P rails versus KAC rails: 1.) The G&P finish is a much deeper dark. Though flat, it's still painted. KAC rails are anodized, so they look a bit more grayish. I wouldn't complain about the finish on either. 2.) The trademarks are correct, though, there are two minor points of complaint. The first is that the actual KAC trades are
  20. I've been following the thread since page 1 was the newest page. I'm just asking how many rounds people have fired, or if anyone would be kind enough to post the round count order where certain problems first begin.
  21. I see a lot of discussion regarding different parts failing. At around how many rounds does this occur? Just flipping through the posts makes the WE seem prone to parts breaking, but I can't come to that conclusion without knowing the type of firing schedule.
  22. Yeah, it's just those damned magazines though. Are the magazines that come with the G&Ps of G&P manufacture? If so, I patiently await the release of cheaper magazines. I'm also a bit saddened that G&P decided to go with the WA dimensions instead of the real deal/Prime-like, but I guess that is a small point. Any info on the size of the G&P buffer tube? How about the front receiver threads?
  23. Wrench Bender: Where did you get that huge *albatross* antenna for your F4? Is it UHF?
