  1. £25-£55 depending if you get one from a militaria fair or depending on which way the wind blows on ebay.
  2. No, my Krylon dried the same as it did on the shell.
  3. Or you can just use self adhesive Velcro. p.s. For all you Velcro needs(dunno about international): www.antrimm.co.uk
  4. bodycount_bsk, Wow, that is bazaar. Do you know the cause or reason for this because it could be so easily circumvented with a torch strapped to you helmet or held FBI style under the pistol etc.
  5. Good old stinky contact adhesive like evostick.
  6. You would be able to buy a 'fired' M72 law tube from most of the deact dealers in the UK. When I was at War & Peace Show '04 a guy had a whole crate of them for about £50-£60 a piece.
  7. Yep, ebay. Just type in PVS7 or 14.
  8. Just spray it with Krylon or any auto/Tamiya/modelling paint that is matt and camo. Just like the real operators do it with no fuss!
  9. There's a locating post inside which sits in the lowest point of the triangle cut-out on the flash hider.
  10. Your suppressor is upside down.
  11. Thanks for that! At least you managed to tell us of a place that possibly sells the two piece barrel. The design of the Guarder to CA is virtually exactly the same so if you CAN'T get hold of a CA barrel you will no doubt be safe with a Guarder version.
  12. Thylon, You must have your flashhider off-centre or either the suppressor is not locked properly because the pull/release tabs should be upper most.
  13. As mentioned, to make an aftermarket CQBR, you will need the two piece CA M4 outer barrel. The section beyond the foresight unscrews leaving only the thread exposed so you will need to get this extension to make it true CQBR length. http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper.php?i...cat_Attachments for AEGs Problem is, is that I don't think they make the CA two piece anymore because since I bought mine I havn't seen one anywhere. Your closest alternative is either this: http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper.php?i...M1606_cat_Outer Barrel for AEG or this: http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/s
  14. Could be, and I can't remember fully until I've had a look at my Spetz, that he has replaced the normal full stock bracket with some sort of steel insert to which he has welded the new stock. Have you tried sticking a magnet to the main bulk of the receiver? p.s. Not meaning to dis your mod work but AKM's have small indents above the mag well.
  15. Not nit picky at all, purely, just an interested technical question. Also you may have noticed the receiver does not have any indents above the mag to indicate AK or AKM etc/Guarder or Marui etc so it is completely up in the air from my end as to maker and material.
  16. I presume the receiver is steel otherwise how would you weld a steel stock to a non ferrous metal or plastic?
  17. You got yourself an M933 there, not an M733, because it has a flat top receiver with removable carry handle.
  18. Looks as though the forward edges of the bb port have been slightly damaged(i.e. flattened) as well by attempts to insert the mag. Could be the whole hop unit is slightly too far forward.
  19. Interesting. I'd always been under the impression that only steel could be blued
  20. So how did you get the blueing effect on your barrel since it's aluminium? Is it some kind acid similar to that used on steel?
  21. Souske, Are you saying you have a steel outer barrel("reblued the outer barrel")? If so who is it made by? EDIT: Ah, Guarder do steel barrels.
  22. ICS uses a RIS and CA uses a RAS. In other words a RAS physically clamps to the barrel nut whereas the RIS is just held in by the end cap and delta ring + friction and because of this is unstable and prone to movement.
  23. Guns look best when they are painted like the real steel in theatre i.e. an all over paint job. I don't understand the point of part painting a gun especially when it gets to leaving safeties, mag releases etc etc un-painted. If anything part painting looks more toy like and certainly, for the vast majority, an invention of airsofters and civilians. Thing is if you paint the plastic parts they get the most wear and tear from your hands so what is the point? Look here for some good inspiration: www.militaryphotos.net
  24. You definately do not use primer if your a skirmisher or mil-simmer. When I paint my guns I do it to replicate the real world therefore I just slap it on with the bare minimum of a wipe over with a rag. If it chips, bubbles etc etc then it's all good. Soldiers out in Iraq/Afghanistan are not artists and don't give a monkeys so I don't either.
  25. ICS and CA are poor copies. Get a G&P, which is spot-on the original, or a Guarder as a close second.
