  1. You're correct !! You just won an internet cookie
  2. Which one ... i have 3 But yes, all of them have flashiders installed. Which particular M4 are you referring to ?
  3. Can't attest to the longevity of it since i myself don't own it, at least yet Anyway i've shot one a couple days ago from a Spanish dude and it felt great! Comparing to the old closed bolt SCAR, the recoil is a bit bigger, it's noisier ( more of a metallic sound ) and the ROF is higher too. At least on his SCAR the bolt locked back every time and the hopup gave the same results as my own open bolt replicas, which is VERY good results from a factory gun. Not up to par with my M14 with the Prometheus hopup and barrel but above average that's for sure. It was overhopping a bit with .25g
  4. Good review but i must add two points. The tension can be somewhat adjusted, as you can just push the elastic band upwards in the upper "slot". And another positive point towards the RS FatMAG's is that the color of the ACM ones are completely off and are much much lighter. I have 3 RS FastMag's on my vest and another 3 ACM ones and i'm changing to the RS ones as soon as i can.
  5. Yep i do, there you go http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=134015&view=findpost&p=2402864
  6. Ohh no far from it ... It's just something i made with some spare wood boards i had laying around in a couple of hours. I'm making a new one, much better and bigger ... I ran out of space
  7. First of all, sorry for the very crappy pic .. i'll try to post a better one later My Small Collection: From left to right WE M14 GBBR WE M14 GBBR WE M4v1 GBBR WE M4v1 GBBR WE M16v3 GBBR Star AW-338 King Arms M4A1 AEG Pistols Marui/Guarder G17 CYMA G18C AEP Marui/Guarder P226 Navy Missing from the photo VFC M4A1 GBBR, WE SCAR OB and KJW P226R. And a couple of mags too. Hope ya like it
  8. I've said before and i'll say it again, the RA-tech hop up bucking is utter bullpoo.
  9. Interesting .... That means that you can prove it otherwise then ?
  10. Why don't people understand that you can find anything proving everything and that internet "tests" hold as much value as a test done by me in the toilet aka faeces, no matter how much you believe that the persons that are doing it are "airsoft geniuseseseses". TBH i have a TM P226 with a Prometheus 6.01mm TB and a TM G17 with a TK twist barrel ( same length ) and i can't tell much difference between them ( although the TK does need less hopup to spin the .27g bb's i use with them ). They shoot around the 310~320fps mark and can easily shoot to >50m with .27g. They are both good barrels
  11. The Prometheus TB made specifically for it ?
  12. All open bolt share the same hop-up unit apart from the m14 ( it's more of a p226/1911 clone ). Since the PDW was the first one to be released as an open bolt, it's the least "refined" of them all. It still has a few nags here and there.
  13. The only difference i can spot is on the valve locker though ...
  14. Since im a big cheater and lazy instead of using my fingers to channel the BBs, i sourced a piece of rectangular plastic tube with roughly the same size as the feeding lips and use that to channel the BBs.
  15. In the beginning i also used the tube loader that came with the M14, but now i just use a common pistol speed loader and i can almost load my M14 mags as fast as i can load AEG ones. It's a matter of getting to know how to do it ( check the Ra-tech/WE videos where they are using speed loaders, i use the same technique ).
  16. They are basically VSR barrels but instead of beeing hold to the hopup unit by 2 tabs, WE uses 4. So either you get WE specific barrels or get VSR barrels and proceed to remove those 2 extra tabs from the hopup unit. AEG barrels will NOT function unless you have access to a lathe/mill so that you can cut the groove that accomodates the extra tab from the VSR buck. You could remove/cut that extra material from the VSR and/or file the inner manually but you'll end up with a poor job. @ Dan I was talking about the hopup rubber/bucking itself. I got different results from the stock one
  17. Dan are you still using the stock hop bucking ?
  18. I'll be doing that in the following couple of days. Just waiting for some parts to arrive
  19. Never understood that ... i never had any shortage of spare parts. Hell i'll even keep a closed bolt M16 just to not let my huge list of spare parts go to waste But it seems that spare parts specifically for the G36 really is difficult to get.
  20. And people say that I have a lot of guns ... Daaauym son!
  21. There's something about it that makes me really wanting to buy one
  22. The MOE handguard should be a straight fit.
  23. This isn't a new issue and is a problem that comes back from the old v1 M4 mags. Just a tad more torsion on the fill valve and there goes it's head. I've been using co2/green grenade valves to replace them, much stronger and are ready for much bigger pressures.
  24. The PTS CTR will fit just fine but the MOE grip for GBB's will have to be modded, they are made for the WA platform and as such they don't come with the hole for the selector detent spring ( like the RS one ), the "space" is there but you'll need to drill the hole yourself
  25. Are you talking about the open bolt system ? If so just check this discussion right here http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=191035&view=findpost&p=2408001 Basically just seal/stabilise things, no need to waste any money either
