  1. Piccy pic! I can confirm that getting the slide back on the gray model is more difficult than on my original one. Looking at it real quick it appears that the alignment/angle of the slide lock lever is off. So to get it working properly when putting the slide back on it should be rotated to 85-87-ish degrees rather than a straight 90 and it works a lot better I think the gray one is based on the first release Euro models and maybe this was a design flaw that they fixed in the Asia black editions later on in the production.
  2. Well, speak of the devil! Postman just woke me up to deliver me my Umarex HK VP9 gray pistol
  3. Mine is ultra slow to arrive as well.. Been about 2 weeks now too and not even arrived in Sweden yet.
  4. And confirm I will! I asked this; And APS responded with this; So yah, no need to panic. And as always I get a good solid response within 24 hours of contacting them. Top notch!
  5. Yeah I just saw that as well, forgot to come back here and post. I mean, sure, legal issues, I get it, what are they gonna do. But sheit that is a huge down-grade in so many ways. Again, I am soooo glad I have the old stuff on hand I just sent out an email to APS asking them about the future of parts and support for the original APS CAM870 platform. Also on a very positive note, I got a partial, well actually pretty significant, sponsorship delivery coming in from APS I've been a fan of the platform from day one and I really like APS as a company and their
  6. Oooh, guys! I just thought of my next iteration build of the APS CAM870 shorty As the pics above, but with a 16" threaded barrel, 2" breach muzzle, red fiber optic sight, +1 extension and an SAI mag tube clamp. Now that is gonna be sexhaaaay
  7. Yeh, kinda... Glad I got my two APS CAM870 original models and a pack of smart shells on the way But the PPS has an inner barrel doesn't it? So it wouldn't be as prone to modding to shoot "real" stuff as APS? Maybe just a precaution or the government has told them that is how it has to be. I still can't get over that APS gas-in-bolt 15 shots per fill spec. That is just not cool
  8. Y u do dat? By the way, I did another mod on the PPS shell catcher. The APS one has a plastic "hood" running out into the top of the ejection port of the shell catcher to keep the ejection port clear for shells. The PPS one did not have this and so what happens when you get a couple of shells in the PPS shell catcher pouch is it starts to sag and can prevent shells from ejecting properly. So I cut off the one from the APS one, opened up the stitches on the PPS one, and superglued the plastic hood in place Kinda hard to describe but if you have the APS shell catcher you wi
  9. I figured I would get a pack for display more than anything else
  10. Alright, let us know when they are good to go
  11. Ah sorry missed the link there. I think I will have to get a pack just to try it out
  12. Ooooh! Very cool How much to buy a pack?
  13. Actually just natural wear from cycling the shells and playing around with them It is a close match to RS 870 AFAIK. However the shells are an "in-between" gauge. I think when I measured and looked it up it was like 14½ gauge or something. So real mag tubes and extensions and mag tube followers don't work (I tried). Real forends are drop in fit. Real stocks and pistol grips require a tiny bit of mod and customized screws. So yeah, a T2 buil should be very do-able. I also heard of one guy who pretty much drop-in-fitted a real 870 trigger group in his APS... Thin
  14. Haha. .68 caliber rubber training paintballs. Perfect fit!
  15. Rebuilt my APS CAM870 shorty custom shotgun tonight using SWAP (Special Weapons and Plastic) video guides on how to modify the PPS shell side-sadle and shell catcher onto the APS CAM870 Also threw on a replica MRO. Turned out pretty nice IMO! 16. And here is how mine turned out after tonight's rebuild Not bad for couple of hours worth of work IMO Thanks man! FYI my hole adjustments were not as precise/pretty as yours but it works APS CAM870 (custom) RS Hogue Tamer pistol grip RS TacStar tactical shotgun forend grip Custom mounted top rail piece Replica MRO PPS shell side-sadle PPS shell catcher First, I tore it apart, cleaned it, fixed my sticky action (magazine tube cradle arms were pinching the forend tube arms)... And then I modded the PPS shell side-sadle and shell catcher and fit onto t
  17. FYI I got my PPS shell catcher and shell holder that I will mod on my APS CAM870 as per "SWAPs" videos. Both need the screw holes adjusted a bit as he instructed but should be do-able Also had to mod the PPS shell catcher retention. The holes for the shells are big enough for APS but the retention PVC plastic tubing putting pressure on the shells was too tight so I had to do a bit of a "life hack" to make it work using a smaller, also flexible "tube". FYI, SWAP, I am going to give you a shoutout and link in my unboxing video of these items, big thumbs up on your videos and inspira
  18. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. APS still sell the smart style shells which is an upgrade from the original ones but still gas in shell. 4 pack smart shells : http://www.aps-concept.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=25_115&product_id=869 25 pack smart shells : http://www.aps-concept.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=25_115&product_id=870
  19. I have a WE OEM AK74UN lower with folding stock for sale and the pin is removable
  20. KY Airsoft mate, OEM WE parts! I think this is the part? https://www.kyairsoft.com/shop/product/ak74-un-51-gbbr-29921?search=ak74+un+51
  21. Dang, hate when those things happen "Just a liiiiitle bit more force and it will come loose *craaaack*... fffuuuuu" How the heck do they get the pin locked in there if there is no spring under it? Molded part? lol Aaah right. I guess you can't remove the muzzle break by itself then on this design. They cut corners in the finesse of the design implementation. Those things are very good to know so you don't break stuff. That stock hinge is a bit more worrying though. Has to be possible to remove?
  22. Thanks for the translation, as I suspected then. Just call it the "Asia Edition" like VFC does with their stuff When the incident originally "went down" I asked APS that exact question and the response was that for markets where there are no legal issues they would continue to make and support the old style system. However, and I think I mentioned this back then, I can't see them keeping two platforms alive in the long run and if the domestic market model is dictated by a certain law that one will probably win out in the end. So yeah, time to stock up
  23. I'm wondering if APS thinks this is a step forward and they are happy/satisfied, or that this is the best they can do given the legal circumstances and they are trying to keep a straight face,,,
  24. Stupid question but do you pull the hammer after removing the slide from the frame and then not cock the hammer back down when trying to put the slide back on?
