Where did you get the magazines? No one is willing to modify it for me or sell me parts.

I'm pretty sure this is a made for airsoft part. It's by some company in mainland China. I got it at Junglegun in Zhong He I plan to put this on an Inokatsu steel receiver for an AIMS 74 project.

It's made of steel. I heard they only made about 50 of these or so before they stopped.

Not quite an AK but something cool I picked up: Marui compatible AK side folding stock.

It started as a Guarder AKM kit, then I replaced the furniture. Real steel AK front sights are pinned onto the barrel, you will probably need to either drill holes in the barrel for the pins to go into or drill a hole on the bottom of the sight so you can attach it with a screw.

AKM update: finally had time to properly install the Russian stock. Next project, AIMS just like everyone else.

The bayonet is made of cast pot metal. However, I do think if you get it at the right angle, you can injure someone. I broke the bayonet once trying to swing the rifle, and have reinforced it with a long steel screw running down the length of it. I think it is more dangerous now, and I have no plans to use it in a skirmish.

That is a VFC AKS74U DX version with real steel handguards. They are early style Russian made ones. It used to be my CQB gun, and I didn't feel upgrades were necessary. It is now just a display gun. The grips I bought from a guy called ruseller on gunbroker.com. They were I think $90 shipped or so, but took almost 6 months to get here. If you need help building yours, feel free to contact me. Shroom, that looks pretty good, if this goes well, you should build a Yugoslav M92.

Mine came just like that, only modifications were those to make it fit the gun.

A little push worked, Andrei sent me another set and it turned up today. I'm very happy with the product, almost enough to make up for the wait. Hope you get yours soon.

I got it from a guy called "ruseller" on gunbroker.com. He's very slow to get your products, but it seems like he comes through. I've bought from him twice, and both times it took months to get my stuff.

Still need a new stock and flash hider, but this is coming along nicely. Too bad real magazines will be difficult to get.

Some ugliness, just got this in today: And my M16A2, complete except for handguard which I plan to replace with real steel or M203.

Did any of you buy the silver colored Guarder kit? I have an urge to build a pair of nickel plated Springfields.

Has anyone had any problems with the stock? Mine showed up today from WGC with about 5 cracks in the stock. I'm afraid to shoot it so WGC can exchange it for me.

Phase 1 of 3 complete on M60 refit. I have a custom made steel barrel, real steel front sight, real steel bipod, and real steel flash hider. Total cost so far around $400, almost enough for a VFC AK74. This project better be worth it... And another of my commander
