  1. Completed Type 56. Decided to keep the Guarder stock.
  2. Looks great, are the real handguards a direct fit on the CA gun?
  3. Update on the Type 56: Chinese handguards and vented gas tube installed. Hope to install the stock next week.
  4. I was just messing with you, with the orange strip on the front of the launcher. Even still, it's a great custom gun. I wish I had more time to mess with these things so I wouldn't have to spend so much on Guarder stuff.
  5. Nice work, is that a unit marking on your grenade launcher? You need to make a guide for installing the folding mechanism. I'm interested.
  6. I want a silver 1911 now. Anyways, here's mine. Guerilla arsenal:
  7. I think that's a real Bulgarian AK as the grip is a bit too thin to work with the motor. Nice gun though.
  8. Without modification, I can't see it working. You need to cut the part on the stock itself. Also, I think the hole for the pin in the stock is too big for the pin that goes with the toy gun's hinge, so you may need to wrap the pin with some electrical tape to keep it secure.
  9. G36- look at your picture and that thing near the center top, I beleive you'll have to modify that, as well as the thing that looks a little like a hook on top of the spring. The thing on the folding stock near the front that locks with the hinge when the stock is unfolded, (I don't know the proper term in English and I don't think there is such a word for it in Chinese) I beleive also needs to be cut down to fit the box. Finally, the 3 things under the stock need to be installed into the side of your receiver to keep the stock from moving around when it's folded unless you don't mind using
  10. I don't think they are sold seperately. Also, I beleive that their system is different, and you should need their receiver to use the stock, unless you're in for some massive modifcations. Then if you use their receiver, you'll need their barrel, and by that time, you're probably better off just paying $400 for a standard AKS74U.
  11. It's very easy to get a folding stock, check www.k-var.com. However, to mount it to an airsoft gun is difficult at the moment. Plasticmag said that he found a way to get the stock hinge to fit on his CA SLR105. If that works, that's a major step toward mounting real steel folding stocks onto CA SLR105s.
  12. My AK is based on the Guarder kit, which has a specially made stock system that simulates the real Russian one. Because of the gearbox, it is very difficult to get the original real steel parts to fit, but it seems like Plasticmag has figured something out.
  13. I lost count, but I think around $1200 or so. I didn't get everything at the cheapest prices though.
  14. Part 2: Plasticmag, that sounds excellent. I'll have to talk to you about that. Thanks
  15. The Russians I don't think use them as they're made in Bulgaria. http://www.tucsonshooting.com/Pic_Detail.p...photo1153193039 I hope to get the G&P magazines soon to complete the look. Maybe I'll convert a few East German magazines, but I need someone to permanantly modify them outside of California.
  16. AKS-74 ready for action. Parts used: TM AK47 Systema FTK G&G hopup Prometheus G3 length barrel Guarder AKS-74 conversion kit Real Russian 1km sight Real Russian handguards Real Bulgarian gas tube Real Russian sling Real Bulgarian cleaning rod Star 70 round low cap- switching to G&P style soon as this type was not so common
  17. I love it so far, thanks. The real gas tube should be here soon so I can mount the upper handguard. Then I need to get the buttstock, real steel sight, Guarder bolt, and G&G trigger guard and I can call this one done. You should post pictures of your 74 with the PK-A.
  18. Thanks for comments. I love your long mag Santa. Update, Russian 74 handguards turned up today, installed lower, correct rear sight and cleaning rod. The upper I've decided to mount onto this with a real gas tube which has not turned up yet. Type 56 bayonet is not steel, but is still cool to play around with. When I'm done with modifying it, I'll get some up close pictures. Hopefully I can finish all the AK this month.
  19. Couldn't wait any longer, I made my AKM give up its internals for now as the donor gun hasn't arrived, nor has the Russian furniture. Real steel lower handguard already installed.
  20. My 3 guns, have a fourth coming, but the donor gun has not shown up yet. AKS-74, still waiting on Russian handguards, ordered them mid April, nothing's turned up yet. Shipping was estimated 10-12 weeks, so I guess they're still considered on schedule. AIM, only completed AK project so far Type 56, newest project, trying to install all real steel furniture except pistol grip and vented gas tube, along with some other cool stuff. I hope that donor Spetznaz shows up soon, so I can begin assembling the AKM. After these are done, I'm out of AK for some time, and movin
  21. My ongoing attempt to build an infinity style pistol. It still requires a lot more before it will look and work the way I want it to. Some of the parts were bought second hand from Buttons on this forums.
  22. NIce gun, haven't seen the box like that before, mine's all covered up in US Customs stuff after it was seized and returned to me about 3 months later.
  23. I orignally wanted to do a PLA loadout as a counterpart to a Taiwan Army loadout. My friend found me a PLA special forces vest really cheap, but I need to go back to Taiwan to get it. Next, I hope to get an Afghan era Soviet vest to use with a Soviet Army loadout with my AKS-74, as well as with a Southeast Asian guerilla loadout armed with the Type 56.
