muffe66
dosent work its dead on semi burst and auto :/
Dentonboy
Sounds like a fuse to me. You may have to locate it. My STAR SOPMOD M14 doesn't have a fuse, hopefully your STAR FNC has one. Check the battery is charged too.
muffe66
when the fnc costs 535 dollars it must be a fuse. the batteries is always charged it works proberly with my aeg but fnc is dead.
lewis hiscock
yup always check the fuse first.
Xaccers
After the fuse, if it's a V2 gearbox, check the connectors on the motor
lewis hiscock
if its none of the above it could be your trigger contacts, mine have recently began failing.
muffe66
my problem is that star have done own solutions on the gearbox i think. and i dont know where the fuse may be then :/
lewis hiscock
bear in mind that some guns (CA CQB ect) dont even have fuses. do you have an exploded diagram/manual?
muffe66
i cant find the manual. we have a two year old kid at home and she likes to take everything and...... do something to it. how ever if it isint a fuse what it can be?
Xaccers
If it's not the fuse then it's the trigger contacts, which means opening the gearbox and either replacing them (to have them eventually go again) or solder on some thicker copper to rebuild them. Trace the red wire from the battery to the gearbox, if there's a fuse it should be in a white or black plastic cylinder on the wire. Firing single shots really fast is bad for your electrics. lewis hiscock
when you make lots of quick contacts you get more sparks and more heat on the contacts so they wear quicker . edit: in mild cases you can 'bend' the contacts into a better position. ive done this on my current g&g and put in a spacer to hold its position. probably wasnt a good idea to use half a matchstick for this i'll make a metal one later lol. muffe66
if the fnc does not have a fuse what will be a must to change?
Dentonboy
Take it to your local friendly airsoft shop and let them have a look at it. It may cost you a few Krona, but your gun will be sorted. However, it sounds like a slipped wire or blown fuse to me. If it was a gearbox problem - I'd have thought there'd have been a rather nasty sound before hand. Stripping a STAR gun is never fun to do if you don't know what you're doing. Like that hot girl back in '94...
Rob15
The FNC does NOT have a fuse in it. Have you tried the bypass switch behind the grip?
muffe66
no i dont tryed that
lewis hiscock
with no fuse , the 2 remaining options are the trigger contacts , and the motor. i find the best way to check the motor is to run it off another gun , do you have a second gun you can run the motor off? muffe66
yes a TM mp5kurz
Rob15
Have you tried the bypass switch though? May as well try that before going through the faff that is removing the motor.....
lewis hiscock
yes try bypassing the switch first. if no joy , then run the motor connectors from your mp5 onto the FNC motor.
muffe66
wheres the switch that i shall bypass?
Rob15
Behind the pistol grip, theres a very small hole in the underside of the body. Get something like a 1.5mm allen key and press it into there with a battery connected.
muffe66
ok i can english but allen key is unknown here. dont know what that is
