Echo 1/CAW M1014 Long version shotgun first looks...

Just out of curiosity what makes the ECHO 1 version different from the regular CAW version?

My guess thusfar would be the 2 joule power spring, as well as a stronger piston, cylinder, and spring guide. The parts list makes it sound like these were special parts, and it says on the back of the manual that all CAW shotguns made for Echo 1 are made to 2 joule spec.

That and the horribly engraved trademarks...

booligan, does Echo1 list anywhere in the manual the the aftermarket parts (manufacturer etc) fitted to the CAW to bring it up to 2J? I have a standard M1014 from CAW that I'd like to upgrade.

It doesn't. All it says is "Main Spring (2j)"

I think they just had CAW whip up a set of springs that was stronger than normal. Maybe you could contact CAW, or perhaps Echo 1?
