demoncase
If you'm frum Wolverhampton you'll be knowin' thut "am" is a commonly used pronoun, resultin' in us bein' called "Yam-Yams" by our Midlands cousins. E.g: "Am yo alroight, arr kid?" "Arr! Y'am alroight yersen?" "Arr! Tarra a bit!" {Translation} "Hale, fellow citizen! How does the day find you?" "Indeed, I fine and hale of heart! And how does the find you, good sir?" "I too, am in excellent humor today! I must now bid your farewell!" Thus, "Wot Am Bestest...." is how we spake in dur Midlunds. Actually, it's a way of expressing the rather dullard type question in way that reads like it had been typed by an idiot- the too oft asked question of "Which Gun is best?" becoming changed to "Wot Am Bestest" to lampoon the unabrowed neanderthal who is simply unable to choose.... Latterly, this has become a post-ironic expression of self-referential forum humor, with well-established forumites using "Wot am bestest..." as comedy....
