MP5 Navy lower receiver (selector switch + grip)

Is this even possible, putting an MP5 Navy receiver (Marui) onto a Marui G3/SG-1 for an MSG-90 project?

Yes, I beleive it would be possible, but you would only have one pin keeping the stock on.

 

edit: almost forgot, you'll also need to change the selector plate i think.

Nope, the SG1 uses a 2 pin system in the rear, Mp5 uses a 1 pin system.

I really think it would fit, itll just only have one pin instead of 2 contacting the lower. Try it anyways, if it doesnt work out, I'm in the market for a MP5 lower anyways.

I've looked at both of them. Have access to both of them, and it looks very possible. However, I've never done a direct swap but I could over the weekend if anyone really wants to find out.

 

Then again, I'd have to switch it back prety quickly before either of the perspective owners find out.

I just got the offer of an ultra cheap MP5 receiver, so I think I'm trying it this weekend. Like Antagon said, it's not going to be plug and play, but I don't think it'll be that hard either.

Carrot used to make an MSG-90 grip, but it seems to be out of production.

 

Den still has it in their inventory, but it's out of stock. You might be able to find it somewhere.

I finally got around to doing it. The only thing that would get in the way is the one rear pin is not aligned correctly. On the MP5 it's a bit higher than it is found on the G3. However, simple modifications should be fine for that. Not sure how secure the stock would be however since there's only half a pin hole securing it.

With a bit of a mod that should be OK, it also looks very nice
