Stuey
My friend is thinking of getting one of these scope carry handles for his G36, but he knows that G36 optics have a track record for having terrible eye relief. So is the ACM one any good? Better than the awful STAR/Classic Army ones? Thanks, Stu.
LordElpus
My friend is thinking of getting one of these scope carry handles for his G36, but he knows that G36 optics have a track record for having terrible eye relief. So is the ACM one any good? Better than the awful STAR/Classic Army ones? Thanks, Stu. Using a G36C stock i had no issues with this. They are not fantastic but i had more eye relief issues the the G&P version than i did with this. I would get the one with the rail ontop instead so you can add your own reddot sight. Stuey
Yeah I said don't risk it and just keep the rail. Anyone else used one? And on a related note, what are the Chinese scopes on RSOV like? Stu.
Punkypink
I have an ACM one which i bought 2nd hand off arnies. It seems ok to me. Eye relief might not be perfect but then I put my eye pretty near most scopes when using them anyway so its no biggie. Personally tho I preferred the look of the flat rail. DesertFoxRomel
Hey Punkpink, is it possible to use the scope with a mask or safety goggles on?
Punkypink
Good question! I've not properly skirmished with it truth be told. Hadn't thought about that till u mentioned it. I don't think the eye relief is any poorer than the one on my AUG which I've skirmished with just fine with x800s so I would hedge that it's doable. I have to say though, that I would more likely use the carrying handle on my G36 for outdoor games so I'd be more likely to have something like a pair of Guarder C3s on, which shouldn't present any problems at all. LordElpus
It is possible but you still need to be close, so stick with the C length stock, it makes it easier to get a decent view. C rail+Acog is still the way to go though.
dinj
I don't get on with the G36 optics at all (it doesn't help that most of the optics available are terrible) so yeah I do the same as LordElpus, ACOG red dot on my JG G36c.
J3st3r
Get both the carry handle optics for the look and an agog or reddot for the actual aiming from pics ive seen this seems to be fairly common and imo looks teh bee's knees
Punkypink
Since I use my G36 for CQB I tend to stick with an aimpoint. I'd use the carry handle optics on a MG36 tho
