seawulfhornblower
Hi, while watching this pic again,i noted for the first time that the SAS seems to have used a different flashhider on their SAWs during desert storm. So I was wondering if anybody has any information about it ? Is this a L7 hider ?

PianoBlack
I'm going to disagree and say that it is probably just a L7 flash hider. If you look carefully at the OP's picture, you can notice that the flash hider in question does not end immediately after the flutes as in the M60 flash hider, but has additional material as shown in the picture I've included. -Piano *edit* Here's a link to an Australian Minimi with what looks to be the same flash hider: http://www.defence.gov.au/opEx/global/opsl...502859_0242.jpg
Danke
Really? It looks like an L1A1 one to me with the bayonet lug ground off.

I agree. In my original post I was going to say it looks like an M60 flash hider, just longer. Now that I've seen that pic I'd say it is from an L7. However if the OP's intention is to replicate the Minimi in the picture then I suggest the M60 FH as it'll be easier to get hold of. Josh
