Kingmob3
So, my Gen 1 FAST pack has lost all semblance of water proof, which added 2 pounds this weekend, playing in a storm. Any one have recommendations for either a spray or wash on DWR for cordura or packs in general? Two I've been reccomended are Nikwax and Grangers FWIW. KM
Vercingetorix
http://soldiersystems.net/2010/02/15/revitalize-your-dwr/ Funnily enough, I just found this the other day, and its just what you are looking for.
ThaFlash
I didn't realize they were DWR'd to begin with. My Gen2 was never very hydrophobic. But you can DWR anything.
Kingmob3
My Gen 1 was coated with something, but 5 years of books, hiking or airsoft (almost) every day has taken it out. Thanks for the blog link. KM
PianoBlack
Having used Nikwax for a couple of different applications, I would highly recommend them. Their product finder recommends "Tent & Gear Solarproof" which is a non-aerosol spray on. I've only used their wash-in Polar Proof and their Tech-wash, but both worked as advertised. -Piano
tomo
No rucsack is ever going to be 100% waterproof, no matter what you treat it with. Instead, why not buy a waterproof liner for it instead - basically a big *albartroth* bag that'll keep your stuff dry, it'll last longer and should be cheaper too.
