aznriptide859
So I've been having this problem on both my Glocks, my 17 and my 18C (when it's on semi). Both will occasionally fire in full auto bursts, and I have no idea what's tripping them off. I've owned these Glocks for many years, yet I still don't really know the mechanism to how they work, and why they keep firing in full auto by themselves. Does anyone else with a bit more Glock knowledge have insight? Thanks
DrAlexanderTobacco
I've got a Stark G17 with the same problem - The root cause is the trigger sear's worn away, meaning it's not catching. I can't say whether that's what's causing it for you but that's where I'd look first!
aznriptide859
Trigger sear meaning the spring-loaded nub on the left side of the hammer mech?
Kratisto
I think is the right one, the trigger bar. Also, a frozen or sticky output valve can produce sometimes the same effect, the GBB version of a firearm cook-off.
DrAlexanderTobacco
Not sure unfortunately I haven't had the chance to properly look at it yet.
