aznriptide859
So, after literally a full year of owning Propper BDU pants, I JUST discovered they have velcro pouches over the knees to allow for insertable knee pads. Besides the Crye-type knee pad inserts, does anyone else make insertable knee pads? The Crye ones seem too long for my pockets/pouches. Thanks
hitmanNo2
Maybe worth checking hardware places. There are quite a few work/builder trousers with removable knee pads. You might find some of those fit.
airsoftmatthias
D30 makes them for every combat set other than Crye.
kojak
I don't have these, but I've been meaning to get some; I like the buttonhole design: http://www.d3o.com/d3o_products/trust-hp-internal-knee/ I've put knockoff Crye pads into various non-Crye trousers; maybe just trimmed the foam a little if they didn't fit. aznriptide859
Kojak which knockoff Cryes did you get? I see some on EBAir but not sure which ones are better. http://www.ebairsoft.com/style-knee-pads-khaki-p-5069.html http://www.ebairsoft.com/knee-pads-pants-p-4119.html
Kratisto
I've been using this http://www.ebairsoft.com/inner-knee-p-5578.html for years. They protect your knee from most impacts while you forget they're there. The only downside is the trousers will take all the damage instead of a hard plastic surface, but it's worth it IMO. aznriptide859
Ooo thanks for the suggestion! I'll probably get those then
BigAl
Tru Spec make some as do 5.11 iirc.

Neither are particularly great, but they last about as long as BDU or LAPG knockoff TAG trousers do. I just hack a hole in the knees, stuff the pads in, and leave them there. I've added a dab of fabric glue if anything seemed loose. I've also got a pair of the first gen OPS pants with pads; those are much sturdier.
