I wasn't sure if you are talking about the real steel guns or the airsoft ones. eltee Posted October 15, 2005 Author Report Share Posted October 15, 2005 (edited) I mean how are you going about putting a longer barrel on it, AS or RS. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> zNot sure what you mean by "AS or RS" but If I can't get a prototype or pre-production barrel from the production folks building the AGX, I will take a metal upgrade barrel from an M203 launcher. I will have it lathed to size, then mate it to the existing (short) barrel. I don't have the aftermarket metal M203 barrel yet (it's been ordered) so I can't really determine the best way. If it (aftermarket M203 barrel) is the correct outer diameter, or if it is oversize and I turn it down in the lathe I will simply swap the barrels after I fit it and cut it to length. The locking end of the AGX is a separate piece from the barrel itself, the barrel slides into it, so I can use the breech end of the AGX and simply swap tubes. When I get it done I will post a few pics showing the process. Of course, if Madbull's people can get me a long barrel I won't need to spend any time in the metal shop.
