Handsome Pete
Im about to order a TM M14 and thought maybe a tightbore barrel would be of use to increase range and accuracy. however, is it easy to fit without damaging the rifle permanantly? any help would be great. Hustie
Why don't you just order the M14 and when you get it you can decide whether you want a tightbore. The M14's already plenty accurate stock and unless you're going for a sniper rifle setup there's not much need fot a tightbore. But installing it's just the same as any other AEG, so if you've worked on any other gun it should be 'easy peasy'.
Docv400
I fitted a 6.04 TB in mine and there is a useful improvement over the (already damned impresssive) standard one. As Hustie mentioned, you'll probably be quite happy with it as it is. There's no reason the gun would be damaged unless the person fitting it is completely clueless and has never stripped an AEG The M14 is a quite different to most AEGs (M4/16, MP5s etc) but if you're mechanically competent you should be OK. Have a look here for starters and decide if you can/want to, do it... M14 stripdown...
Carbine
There's nothing especially diffcult about taking down the M14, just alot of screws to open. I have PDI 6,05mm steel tightbore in mine with an over the forum limits upgrade, and that thing gets some VERY impressive range with 0,28g BBs!
