Im tryin to keep the cost below 50 shipped and The cheapest so far is ehobbyasia with a king arms one for 46 but it is a small pin.

christhesecond
the pins are easier than you think to kncok out then knock in mate. i was concerned about them going back in when i did mine but it was so easy. you wouldn't have a problem with them cheers chris
SlvrDragon50
Well I cant get the pins into my gas block So i REALLLLY dont wanna try..
Gigueand
I'm a little ignorant on how these sites attach. Do they just slide over the barrel and then the allen/hex threads are tightened down to hold it in place? I've never owned an armalite so I'm unfamiliar with the particulars of the front set. SlvrDragon50
Id guess yes... Or use pins I just got a quote from WGC and the Prime is 49 shipped.. I know King Arms is of good quality and it is 46 shipped.. but i cant tell if it is using a pin or a very small screw.
davedawg123
I have experience with two different flipup front sights, the KA PRI type B (uses screws), and G&P Knight's (pins). The KA PRI is pretty much hassle free to install because of the screws. It also has a locking mechanism which is activated by a button on the side. Down side is that the locking mechanism doesn't do that great of a job as the sight wobbles slightly when deployed. The pins of the G&P were a MAJOR PITA to knock in. I don't even want to think about what it's going to be like if I ever had to knock them out. Good news is that the G&P is very sturdy when deployed even though it doesn't seem to have a locking mechanism. At first, I thought the lever on top was it but I couldn't get mine to budge. Two other people who have the same sight also told me their levers do nothing (one guy's lever does move but does nothing functionally) so I'm inclined to believe the lever is a dummy. SlvrDragon50
Do you know if the KA PRI type A is screws? I really want to bail on pins as I really hate them but if its really worth it, Ill go for pins.
davedawg123
Type A = pins Type B = screws
