chas
I think its the first shop to have it in: http://airsoftglobal.com/product_info.php?products_id=7271 Maybe someone knows whether the chopmod barrel is correct for the Mod. 1?
davedawg123
That's not technically a mod 1 as the forearm is incorrect. That's an EBR with CQB stock, but non-chopmod (chopmod version here). Only G&P makes a proper mod 1.

Only G&P makes a proper mod 1. No, they don't. The Star looks like a step in the right direction, though. All it needs is to be annodized in FDE, the proper forearm, and a Magpul CTR stock. davedawg123
Excuse me for missing the stock and color. I wasn't counting the crane stock since nothing is really preventing you from swapping it out for a CTR, and color can be easily changed as well. The bulk of it remains a Mod 1. The other brands require the same parts to be replaced but also require additional, more difficult to replace components (TGS: forearm, grip/stock assembly; Star: forearm; VFC prototype: grip/stock assembly, I think the forearm was chopmod length but some of the details of the rails and handguards were incorrect). So, in this respect, G&P is the closest you're going to get to a proper Mod 1 (or at least, the simplest to convert). The price of the G&P is a *badgeress* though, and I do appreciate companies like Star releasing full AEGs of modern M14 variants and making things cheaper for the end user. The Troy MCS does look quite appealing.
