Has anyone replaced the cocking lever bolt (pull back lever) on their Star L85. Mine seems to be coming loose and I'm considering replacing it with the A1 type as seen here: http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper.php?i...-L8502_srch_l85

Although it looked good and the reticle was sweet, the SUSAT didn't work out for me due to eye relief/quick acquisition issues. I'm trying an older version ACOG from another setup to see how I like it. The eye relief is much better (almost 3") and the magnification is also 4x which I like. What do you think?

My most recent configurations... I got a PPA M16 magwell adaptor (I am now a witness to the sharp edges and wobble factor). Here are a few pics of different mag configurations: Of all the mags, the one that fit the best with minimal wobble was the metal bulky midcap mag that came with my Star L85 (if you have seen one of those before). The only problem is that I like hi-caps and the finish on the mag is too shiney and contrasts with the duller body finish to much.

Maybe manufacturer's have slighly different specs. Where your mags made by Easy Company or another manufacturer? I do have to give a good push up in order to lock the mag in. Hmmm...interesting.

Its just a simple tactical grip/rail combo that I picked it up on a US site (cheaperthandirt.com). I like the feel of it better than other foregrip types b/c it fits my hands better.

On the follow-up note, I got to test the mags out recently. The mags look and fit better but their feeding quality was not up to par with other types of M4/16 mags. I am using a 11.1v lipoly so that has to do something with it...but to what extent, I'm not sure. I can to get out a burst of 6 or 7 BBs before the gun starts to dry fire on that burst. I'm going to try disassembling the mags, cleaning, and lubing. Hope it helps.

These particular mags are made by Easy Company (hold like 350 or something). I just got them and haven't has any action yet to test their quality/reliablity or anything. They are a nicer, tighter fit than standard CA/ICS/TM/etc brand M16 mags.
