  1. The one for my fiancee's gun is an old samsonite briefase I had laying around that I stripped. The second it a storage box I made in my freshman year of highschool that was originally for some of my MTG cards...I just recently converted it to storing guns.
  2. Just completed new accomidations for my fiancee's 1911: And my MGC 1911s:
  3. I cut the foam to the right shape to fit into the briefcase, then traced the magazines and gun onto the foam. Cut it out, then took a piece of fabric large enough to cover the area, with some to spare. Fit the gun and magazines into their slots, then trimmed the fabric to the case, tucked the edges in and stapled them.
  4. Take one standard, locking brown briefcase.... Add some styrofoam house insulation, a hobby knife, some drape fabric and about an hour of work....
  5. It's a beast! Absolutely flawless that I can find so far. Fires 360 out of the box, has safe/semi/auto, even though the selector is only marked safe/fire and has the "stop" (the selector is cut out to go around it) You didn't know they had a URX because it just came out! I bought the first one that AEX SD got in, heh.
  6. It's a CA25 URX Special Forces. First one out of the box at AEX the other day and I scooped it up, heh.
  7. New thread, new pictures! My armalites as of today.... Newest addition to the bunch.
  8. My only issue is why oh why?! would you have Wolf ammo for a racegun....
  9. I like the MRF because it gives me the continuous rail on the upper receiver, which means I can mount my optics a little more forward and still have use of the buis.
  10. Might as well add it here too, my 2nd FN weapon.
  11. Newly updated M4. I'm waiting for a KA 13.5" MRF, and a DE Clubfoot stock.
  12. You need to thread the holes you drill in the frame with the correct size/pitch threads for the screws to thread into the frame. In my case, it's a 4-40 thread. I lined the frame up on my drill press, drilled the holes, then just tapped them by hand.
  13. Bullets are for my real 1911, as are the magazines and holster...just props for this shot. Looking at it...yeah, it is. Unintentional, heh. It started life as a MEU(SOC) late version, then I swapped in a TLE frame, and ended up with that slide.
  14. Sorry for the double post, but I wanted to add some pictures!
  15. Putzing around with the camera tonight.
  16. My suggestion for the extended controls would be to find a slightly more "classic" set of extended controls, maybe reat steel ones that are just slightly extended, then fit them. It would look much better than the 9 ball ones, in my opinion.
  17. I'd say just stipple and contour the grip you've got and it'd look fantastic. I'm really jealous of that slide, by the way.
  18. Yup! Just painted it. Used Rustoleum Protective Enamel in Colonial Red, then clear coated w/ a flat spray. If you're looking to buy though, I've not had any problems getting WE parts through Evike, maybe give them a shot? They stock the grips in all the colors last time I asked.
  19. The stippling is actually done using a soldering iron with a rounded tip 4-40 machine screw attached to it, so the stippling melted and moved the plastic, causing great relief on the holes and superb grip. The mag release button is a "Sealing Washer, Bonded. #8, 4 2, Steel/Galvanized". UPC Code 030699892280 from Crown Bolt, Inc. Picked it up a 4 pack at work for $.97 (I work at Home Depot) Budget project, but I still made it look really nice! I think my total cost for this gun is maybe $35, gun included!
  20. Updates on the Dragon project. I stippled and painted the grip, added a magazine catch button, and finished up the JPoint mount.
