Ok, I will share my Dragon Red experience. I've got mine now too. I ordered it, waited a while and got it (no way right). I took it out of the box, it was setup with the low mount. I took it off and threw on the (seemingly so far) high quality Larue riser and threw it on my SCAR. I noticed it's very sold and doesn't wiggle. I went outside and adjusted the dot, both elevation and windage worked just fine. The brightness adjustment dial is a bit loose so it tuns a little to easy (causing it to get accidentally turned on from time to time) but when on it's dot is as good of quality as my G&a

I don't really see any advantage in running a shorter barrel in my situation. 99% of all airsoft I do is outdoors so it's of no benefit to reduce the size, it would only really serve to make the gun louder (which is a good thing). I also don't have a short tightbore and if I cut down my M4 length one it would be useless in the long barrel config.

You should remove your comms setup from you're gun.

I agree that it's not a looker but it's all go and no show. The high mount is required to not have to aim hella crazy. With it low you'd have to turn your head 90 degrees to get your eye to the optic. Also, the reason I run it up far it so the tube appears smaller so I see less of it.

I want your MRE M4 and RAV so bad you have no idea...

Hm. Those pics don't really scream CAG to me. I think CAG and think Paraclete, smoke green, MRE RASes on their M4s, ANVIS mounts etc. I'd still really like to see more pictures.

I've got to say, that is a FUNKY looking M14. Who would have thought we'd go from wood stocks and leather slings to CNC machine aluminum exoskeletons.

They can, it's just a matter of if they do. How many reference pictures have you seen where they're using aftermarket stocks? I know they are, I'm just saying your impression should be based on pictures.

But still plenty durable for most airsofters and a good buy at the low price point.

There is a difference between an impression and an approximation. You're not doing an impression unless it follows reference photos.

Yea, that is amazing. To me it looks like those are 7.62mm rounds linked with 5.56mm rounds actually under the feed tray!

Yea, there were supressed swedish K's used in Nam, but again, not all black supressed thompsons.
