The only disadvantage with it is you might find it a little long and not as easy to get used to then say an M4.. But it shouldn't too much of a problem...

We call guns that are not upgraded "stock", ie straight out of the box. When we call things standard issue we mean that it's been issued to the person by the organisation he/she works for. ie, if you are a police officer and given a glock by the police department for use in work then you would call the glock standard issued. Hence people don't usually call a airsoft gun standard issued and when someone says standard issued, it sort of implies that it's a real steel since law enforcement/military departments don't usually give airsoft guns to their officers...So tht made it confusing...If

Yep... something like a M3a Mcmillan stock... then the receiver has a fixed rail on it and single shot only..(ie no selector) I think you are better off staying this way for a plain M14 look with the wood which looks really good... Lightning10: thanks... a shame that I will change it to an EBR when the kit comes out...I better take more pics of it before the kit comes out... Probably when the compact ACOG arrives.... The wait is unbearable...

I think he was refering to the springfield commerial M25 and not the military one... So it should be the M3a stock...

Do you have jamming problems with the tightbore (with high quality bbs)? I assume your M14 is stock. It's stock, couldn't be bothered to upgrade it as it's only going to be abt 20 fps until I reach 328... But no, I have not had a single jam with it, except when I was trying to use .30s with it one of my mags doesn't feed hard enough to push the ammo in... but you shouldn't really use .30s for this anyway... .25 would be the best.. Do you notice any fps change? Does the tightbore affect your full auto performance? Haven't had it chrono'ed but it does seem to shoot slightly harder as th

The one I used was for M16 since there wasn't one available at that time for the M14, but now they are out, so the 500mm M14 barrel you are refering to should not need any modding to fit..
