My gun isn't my main weapon & it was one of the first R85s in the Country.I've long since got over survivors guilt & there's still nothing wrong with my gun some 150,000 BBs later.I run it on an 8.4v Battery & i've never had a problem so far.It's due a service but i'm worried in case i do something which ends up with it breaking. I rarely use my British Loadouts but it's nice to have the choice.

I'd prefer the other alternative but i actually have to say i prefer UCP to this.I think it looks like a third world Countries camo pattern but as with all things the US Army makes it look cool.

I just recieved my ebaybanned plates today.I've fitted them into my vest for a game in the Welsh Mountains this weekend(where Multicam works well),i intend to fill them with sand for weight{after the game} but they make the plate carrier feel more realistic.I have cut up kip mat foam to act as soft armour but intend to buy the replica stuff to fill the vest out.Kip mat fills out the vest while allowing it to be flexible but i prefer to feel the same movement restrictions as the real stuff would cause.Of course this is all a matter for personal preferance but i think it helps with the overall l

I'd also like to point out that my gun was one of the first in the UK & over 100,000 rounds later it still works with the blowback enabled.

Having looked at the opther photos in this album all i can say is i personally think it would look better if you tucked your shirt into your pants.Pimp the helmet up & it will look good{i want a 2001 for my load out}.The boots you are wearing look cool but my personal choice is to blouse the pants at the ankles. It will be a good lightweight load out though.

I've completely given up on semi auto & prefare small bursts.I've lost track of how many BBs have now been through my gun but it's still working fine.I feel very lucky that it has continued to perform so well.My mate had me look at his STAR L85 & it required me to undo half a dozen screws to get down to the gear box.No doubting the quality of the STAR gun but what a royal pain in the butt it was to work on compared to the AA version.I'm really glad i didn't have the extra cash to buy the "quality" gun.

This has just come at the right time.I've started doing some CQB & they would be handy.

I have desert boots,not a good idea to wear them on site as the Peat stains them.Last time i walked through a puddle i sank up to my knee.There are some obvious deep puddles but the one i sank in was about 30cm across & rather deep. It's a good woodland site,the light dappling from the trees makes Multicam very effective.Currently the bracken is coming up, so soon it will be like a jungle.We have grassy areas,wooded areas & a wooded valley we refer to as "Tears of the Sun". We are waiting on hearing about a MOD site where we would have a FIBUA area,a POW Camp as well as loads of sp

Materials & construction is ok but the pants fade in the wash quite quickly.The V2 has a better fit than the V1 but in both cases the shirt seems 1 size down from the pants.My real multicam jacket & pants have been washed more but show no fade.The shirt is worn all the time with the pants,sometimes i wear the under armour shirt under my real multicam so the UA shirt is protected from the worst of the dirt & doesn't need washing in the same way to removed the dirt ,the pants always need the mud scrapping off them before washing.Low temperature washes are kind to multisham.

I can't remember the guys name who runs the shop but my dealings with them were very fruitful.I wanted a Tan Chest rig,i'd already been ripped off by military Griffin & CSS were the only place in the UK to stock them.I bought my rig but recieved a phone call a day or two later to say he had been flooded out{in the floods of a few years back}.All his stock had been ruined & for H&S reasons he had to destroy the damaged stock.{fair enough but eye brow was raised quizzically,i did some checking & found a picture of the floods which showed the corner edge of his shop on the street

Does the sight still work?

By optical i think he means does it magnify the image or is it a plain sheet of glass which covers the optics.

I had seen that chassis & if i had the spare cash right now i'd be going for it. RT

My A&K M249 box mag has 3 settings - Sound activation,Off & On which is used to feed the BBs through the empty mag. I haven't experience any real problems other than heavy battery drainage when my small 8.4 battery has to run constantly during combat. RT
