  1. That's a nice M4 Sopmod, Keyser...err...wait thats not an M4, lol
  2. The flashlight mount is a Yankee Hill Machine 5-slot offset mount. And the scope behind the Eotech is a Aimpoint 3x Magnifier on a Samson mount. As for the chest rig, yeah it's a hydration carrier, it's not on a rear plate carrier but rather it hangs from the shoulder straps on the back and connects to the center section of the belt on the rear of the harness.
  3. Thanks for the compliment, dude. The rig I use is a BHI STRIKE commando recon chest harness.
  4. Sorry I was comparing the older line, that being the ML/M2 series.
  5. Keep in mind that 400 is a bit deceiving, it's 400 or so then you NEED a mount. For the Samson I have it's about 200 bucks, so it becomes a 600 dollar package all together. The problem with all other mounts but the samson is that they are quick detachable, but then it's one more thing you have to carry or worry about losing, the Aimpoint and GG&G mounts are this way and suck in my opinion. The Samson is nice because A) it looks hot, you can remove the mount if needed easily but it also provides quick change between 1x and 3x. It's the same argument for or against EOtechs, they seem m
  6. Wood explained it well already, yeah it allows me the ability to have an ACOG like magnification and instantly swap back to a 1x for indoors. Basically getting best of both worlds. It actually works better with the Eotech than the aimpoint, oddly enough. With the Samson mount you don't have to physically remove the scope. It's quite cool.
  7. It should, I have an 8.4v 2000mah in it right now, the most you may have to do is remove some slack from the battery cable that goes between the motor and the battery, as that's what's causing a lot of the cramped space in my stock as it is now.
  8. Finished M4, MUST STOP ADDING TO IT!
  9. dhindo, that's looking slick for sure. Are you going to go so far as to use the tango down panels and vertical grip? As well as the vortex flashhide and OTAL laser unit. Gotta admit that's VERY slick. If I hadn't gone the way I did with my PTW I would have probably gone with a setup much like that. Definately cool. Please do keep us posted as the project moves forward. LeMongelo, damn. All I can say, that Dieter vertical grip is wicked. Good choice on your light (hehe). A really swank setup, I'm digging that MRF front end that goes justt past the front sight. Also gotta give props to the
  10. It fit with absolutely no modification to the gun, it was totally drop in. A+ They're great, I don't know how the other wood stocks are for the Marui's but this one is the cat's meow. Thanks for the compliments on my gun, guys, much appreciated.
  11. Chris, that's the same kit I have for my skirmish 226, good choice, and definately cool that it's the older style. Cheers! and Kudos.
  12. M25 has a different receiver and stock, right?
  13. Did this for a former teammate and good buddy 'o mine.
  14. Here's better pictures of my wood stocked M14, oh and wood not being as nice on an M14, puhlease! Enjoy. Marui M14, CAW Walnut stock, real ARMS 18 mount, and ARMS scope rings, Leupold Mark 4 scope.
  15. Regardless, there's still a hole in the stock. Can't say I blame Sig552 for his comment. Whatever, look 'aight.
  16. Puhlease, a wood and metal gun is friggin classy. Chillax.
  17. Yes I tried doing a heavy walnut, spent about 4 hours trying to get it to work, ended up cracking the neck of the stock, regardless of material you have to SIGNIFICANTLY thin out even the larger molded stocks like the big red birch or the heavy walnut. So yeah I tried, I think I even mentioned that I failed a few pages back. I currently use the CAW walnut stock, which is absolutely fantastic, I'll take a good picture of it later today.
  18. DancingChedder, yes I got mine with the friction sleeve attached to the threads. I tried everything to remove it, even had a blow torch to it at one point to warm it up, the problem was it was so strongly attached that I couldn't get it to budge without tweaking the barrel in the process. So I ended up using a dremel to cut away at it and peel it apart. Honestly, it SHOULD come off if you heat it up and melt the glue, in my case it just didn't want to come off. I'd say after all that the threads look about 90 percent intact, there was a little bit of damage to them in the process, but it
  19. *Cough* now who strongly suggested that, solo? heh, seriously, as with any barrel, clean it often and well. I use an eyeglass cleaning cloth on a marui cleaning rod, coat that cloth in some silicon lubricant. NEVER use anything else. I usually make two passes down the barrel, the cleaner you keep it the better you can maintain accuracy.
  20. Yes standard 14mm + (CW), I just tapped out a real rock river A2 flashhider today to fit my PTW. Basically practice for when I get my Troy Medieval Strike muzzle break later this week. DancingChedder, I look forward to seeing you in the PTW owners club as well. Now Oohya, what was that I heard about a PTW website *cough*. Seems we might need one with these people coming out of da woodwork.
  21. It's a 14x1.0mm thread, not sure what the pitch is.
  22. Hey now, OOHYA, great gun, saw those a while ago, and look fantastic. I can't wait to get out and play with mine. Just waiting on a troy flashhider, spare mags and batteries ;-) and my Aimpoint 3x.
  23. Interesting, but I definately think your PEQ2/ACOG TA31F setup is far cooler looking than this one. Interesting how only 2 details can make the difference, either way, I definately like your other setup more.
  24. It'll be a challenge....*deep breath* but I think we'll survive.
