  1. Really? Sure that won't be you? Seriously though, it'll be nice to have another one there to compare. It's been a while since I've seen another full steel RPK in the flesh, so it'll be interesting to see if my artificial weathering of mine and other touches such as the real-steel parts and new bolt, etc etc etc were worth it. I'm also eager to see how your groupings compare to the 590mm inner barrel, as I'm keen to see if it was worth every buying this inner barrel considering the hassle it caused me...
  2. Dirty: on the full set like that the only thing you need is the gearbox, hop-up and innerbarrel, along with some externals such as the muzzle and bolt. Chances are you'd want to replace the innerbarrel with a longer version (mine has a 590mm PSG-1 jobby in it), which would necessitate a type-0 cylinder (instead of the ported one in the spets) Other than that, not really.
  3. Yeah, they are the same gun, was just being arsey. Inokatsu always made the kits, but recently Guarder lost the contract and so Inokatsu have decided to strike it out alone. Only difference is the different box and that's it as far as I'm aware. Your box art is far nicer than mine was, by the way. Nice RPK anyway. I just hope some twunt doesn't drop it and chip off half the wood at the first skirmish like someone did to me at AG05...
  4. I like the new inokatsu box art. Bit different to the guarder version (which is effectively the publicity shot of the RPK). Speaking of which if it's Akmania isn't it technically an Inokatsu RPK, seeing how Guarder have lost the contract? Not splitting hairs, as it looks pretty identical to the kit I received in every other way but the guys with the brand name on the box.
  5. Hehe, fair enough, I can appreciate that. Arnie really isn't that kind of guy however. I have to say he's perhaps the most tolerant member of staff on this forum. As long as it's clear that you're trying to offer constructive criticism rather than destructive (which sadly he has all too much of), I'm sure he'd be more than happy to hear people's thoughts. After all, if most people think the same as you, I'm sure the last thing Arnie would want is to alienate all you guys with a system you didn't like. P.S. Have we had this conversation before? I just had a bizarre sense of de
  6. So er...You don't want to have the airsoft forums, but you don't want to do anything about it, either? I despair, I really do.
  7. I think at the end of the day if everyone things the new approach is rubbish, the best thing to do is to let Arnie know about it (maybe a petition or whatever if you fancy). As I've seen thus far, most people are more than happy to have a quiet whine about the system but no-one is prepared to do anything pro-active about the matter (seems to be a British tendency...). If most people want to see something like the current system with amendments rather than the new method, why not actually show Arnie that this is the case? Just a thought anyway.
  8. As I understand it, we're moving over to this auction-style system before long, and closing down the old sales method. If so then there's not much point in making the amendments. However if we're not then I fully agree that this is a worthwhile amendment. I know Arnie is planning several changes over upcoming months, so we'll all just have to wait and see what they are.
  9. Phoenix: Arnie works long tiring shifts in a job most people aren't cut out to do. I think two letters being typed in incorrectly is somewhat forgivable, given that he owns and runs this site for nothing, despite the level of nonsense he has to deal with as a result. I also notice that most of your posts lack capitalisation, end of sentence punctuation and basic grammar. So perhaps you could tell us what's your excuse?
  10. No need for apologies at all Matt. We're just not accustomed to people actually thanking us. More often it's people taking for granted a free service offered to them by Arnie and whining when they're punished for breaking rules they've agreed to follow when registering. Not to mention all the petty backbiting that goes on in PM and countless other sites. We're just used to it being a thankless job (sorry if that sounds like I'm gunning for sympathy, I'm not as I know that's the last thing saying such a thing would achieve on the interweb, just being honest), and so not used to having some
  11. *Scan's Matt's post with the sarcometer* Erm...Thanks...I think... I don't know that with that post count you're really much of a newbie member any more, by the way.

    WTF?

I did it, and I have warned you via your signature before. It is standard procedure, and you reintroduced a ridiculously large picture. We work on a three strike system here at Arnies - the first is treated as a one off, the second receives a reprimand and a warning, the third amounts to a temporary suspension. I have received complaints about you transgressing the rules in this regard twice now, and should you repeat it, a member of the moderating staff will be forced to suspend you. As it stands, I prefer to be fair and give people a chance to buck up their ideas. If you would rat
  13. Wow, a freudian slip. Don't I look silly (as opposed to the chap who bothered to point it out) .
  14. Nice review. Can't say CA's furniture does much for me though. Thread moved to relevant section.
  15. Possibly, but it stops people whining about being dissatisfied with a free service.
  16. Nice review. Have you added it to the review database?
  17. Sure, give Arnie the money for more space on the server, and you can have it... ...Alternatively, you could simply keep your PM inbox clear. All of the staff here get inundated with reported post pms etc, and yet we manage to stay on topic of it. A bit of self-discipline wouldn't hurt.
  18. I added those on after to emphasise the true comedy of the content for anyone who knows me and Caz.
  19. Posted in the wrong section entirely, so moved. I suggest you pay attention to the rules in future. Somehow my friend, I suspect the chatroom will survive without you.

You caught me by surprise! I didn't even have time to get head gear on or stuff... :|
  21. Just as an addendum to the above: d) Make sure Ubar hasn't banned you for breathing.
  22. Just pmed you mate, give me a shout on msn if you have any luck. If anyone else has any such problems, there are a number of things to try: a) Check that any firewalls on your home network / pc are not blocking the Java client or any ports it uses. Reset to ensure that it is not an issue with the application having frozen up (Java can seem to do this from time to time, especially on older systems). c) Use a dedicated non-Java based IRC client (such as MIRC). This is something I would recommend if you intend on making regular use of the IRC chatroom. For more information o
  23. Welcome to the new corner of the forums, dedicated to discussion of the Arnies IRC Chatroom. Should you have any queries, requests, problems or general gobbledygook to write regarding the chatroom, then please feel direct them to this section of the forum. I can't really think of what else to say, so um...Cheers!
  24. I know there's quite a lot of people who either aren't aware of the chatroom, or who don't understand what it is, so I thought I'd write a quick FAQ (Frequently Asked Question) thread for you. What's the chatroom? The chatroom is an IRC-based area where you can meet and talk with a motley crew of various other individuals from around the world who, like you, have been afflicted with the airsoft bug. Unlike the forums there is no different sections and threads - imagine a pub with everyone talking and having their own little conversations. There is also the ability to PM one another,
