  1. For those interested the PBS-1 tracer mod is very easy. I removed the outer shell of a JG full auto tracer unit and cut down the on/off switch, from there it slipped perfectly into the PBS-1. I used 4 of the original foam inserts to space the tracer unit flush with the base of the silencer Screw it all together and youre all done, a tracer unit you can use on an AK without having to use a modern looking stock tracer unit.
  2. I have tested the rifle before i installed the tightbore and i didn't notice much change. Although when installing the new 6.02 barrel i noticed while looking down the chamber, that the hopup rubber has created a very "R-hop" looking flat contact point right across the top of the barrel. So i do have high hopes for the A+ rubber. I will hopefully get to test it out soon, my next issue is bb's weight as i usually use .28 and will wait and see if i need something heavier... and then there's my never ending quest to find tracer bb's heavier than .25g...
  3. 2012 VFC AKM - Guarder infinate torque motor - Guarder 6.02 tightbore inner barrel - Guarder 120 spring - A+ hop rubber - 11.1V lipo - LCT bakelite pistol grip - MAG AKM midcaps (refinished in "fakelite" staining) - Dboys GP-25 launcher - Custom Vanaras steel PBS-1 silencer converted into a tracer unit - Real Russian sling - Russian canvas drop bag
  4. I recently sold my CA SA58 OSW, good little rifle but needs a few adjustments. A small stick like lipo can fit in the front RIS if you remove the fake gas tube running along the top. I ended up using a PEQ15 batt box anyway as i wanted a bigger batt. They perform well after you rewire them, give it a new motor and most importantly it needs the nozzle replaced. A Sig552 nozzle works well and will stop the air loss giving you a much better seal. I also stripped the CA piston almost straight away so that needs replacing also.
  5. Ah ok, i havent run them for a long time. Just chucked them in for a quick test. So yeah unsure if the voltage would make too much difference but then again im not an expert. Im sure someone wise awesome powers will jump in with knowledge shortly haha.
  6. The rechargeable CR123A work fine. Didnt notice any difference when doing a quick test, does save on the $$$ too.
  7. I did an order on the 1st and got the email on the 5th saying it was shipped. Time will tell how long it actually takes to leave the country. So seems they are all still working through the local holidays.
  8. ^^^^ Nice work buddy ^^^^
  9. You would have to be careful with that! Could get messy!.... some creative taping and masking would be required.
  10. Thats a nice looking rifle, you could maybe get away with some kind of skateboard grip tape if you wanted to do that. As long as it was cut nicely and clean it might turn out ok.
  11. That is some seriously impressive gear BigEd, wicked skills.
  12. Cheers, Seems RSOV only has the PTT set ups and Gunner it out of stock! EDIT: Would i be correct in thinking that this is the Gen2? PX Airsoft Comtac II
  13. Are there any other places selling this headset? And is there a way to tell the difference between the Gen 1 and 2 headsets?
  14. We tend to buy from ebay since its cheaper, just hard working out sizes. I would like to get my hands on a brand new set though, we tend to be all wearing old used ones, i think someone had a pair of paints dated 1989 on them! The SLR is only cut because the barrel on the first line of them were bent. No experience with the KA but i have had no issues with my STAR, motor change, spring change, lipo batt and i was happy.
  15. Thats my STAR L1A1 But then it got the chop and is currently set up like this And just to keep it IDF on topic, As Pulng mentioned our team wears IDF as a base uniform
