  1. Just bought this little number for my SOCOM arriving Friday: http://www.airsplat.com/Items/AC-UPE-MR-6085.htm Any ideas on how to install it? I was hoping to get my Surefire on there at least, but a vert grip would be a plus too.
  2. That's beautiful, snipe. I was gonna turn my faux-M1014 into that.
  3. Slightly off topic... this is probably the best place to ask, though. Can the ICS AK RAS handguard be modified for use on a TM/clone AK? Link to the handguard: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?...roducts_id=2137
  4. Just noticed that post myself. Epic fail on my part.
  5. Does anyone know where I could find a folding AIMS-style Romanian stock? I'd like to stick one onto a cheapy SRC AK so it would still be "contractor-accurate" when it's not being loaned out.
  6. Easy, kids. Support weapons, in my opinion, need better hopup (and therefore more range) since they weigh so much. Just my opinion. Oh yes, and I know it's adjustable. I'm not a noob.
  7. Quick question: what is the G&P M249's hop like compared to the CA249's?
  8. I used a custom 1.5J TM G3K-A4 this weekend, and the hopup was phenomenal! The stock TM G3 hop unit is really impressive, and seems to be nearly up to par with the TM M14 hop unit. I can only hope the CA can measure up...
  9. BUIS without a front sight... hmmm...
  10. I was looking on Blackheart International's site, and it appears that they use a version of Noveske's "shot glass" design on their shorter variants (no doubt due to backpressure issues): http://ww2.bhigear.com/bhm/SOPMODAK/tabid/72/Default.aspx I wonder if there's a way to make that look good on a support weapon. The airsoft Noveske makes a pretty intimidating noise, and would be scarily effective when combined with a support weapon. The standard-length barrel variants use something like a vortex flashhider, and then their SOPMOD PKM uses a flared birdcage (like the M249 Mk1). C
  11. Well, there would be the RPK receiver... Honestly, all these mods wouldn't happen for awhile. It'll stay "vanilla" until my paychecks permit my PMC taste. In the meantime, I want an actual support weapon. Danke. Still taking opinions on the barrel, bipod, and flashhider...
  12. The TSD comes with a 3000rd autowinder... worth the price of admission, right there.
  13. I've got a question for all you "tacticool" AK lovers out there. Others need not respond. I'm planning on getting a TSD/SRC RPK from airsoftgi.com, and I plan on SOPMOD-ifying it to match my PMC loadout. How would one go about this, especially since a SOPMOD RPK doesn't exist in realsteel (yet)? Here's what I've got so far: TSD/SRC RPK KA M4 stock adapter VLTOR MODstock Hogue pistol grip SOPMOD upswept bolt carrier X47/similar RAS Vertical grip PEQ-2 EOTech/Aimpoint Shorter barrel New bipod Flashhider
  14. I've been wondering about the difference between the gun reviewed in this thread and the TSD "Gen II" thingy at Airsoft GI: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?...roducts_id=2335 Can anyone shed some light on the differences between these 2 guns? I'm primarily concerned about range and the quality of the autowinder. Imaginary +1s to anyone who can help.
  15. So, what's the difference between the SRC XM8 and this TSD/SRC amalgam thingy? http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?...roducts_id=2331
  16. Uh... this is airsoft, man. 50 yards is pretty damn good.
  17. Looks mildly tasty. Keke.
  18. Correct. Sorry, I'm kind of a custom wh0re and can't stand having a stock-looking gun.
  19. Is there any way to do a number like this?
