  1. Just a quick snap of my twin-gunning kimbers. Going to be my only guns when the VCR comes into force, but boy do I love them. The CDP II is a tunerguy build, and a top-notch one at that, I'll be writing up a review of his work shortly cheers. -- edit - if anyone has seen or played Stranglehold, he has a pair of shoulder holsters for his berettas which are crossdraw arranged and the holsters themselves actually hook onto his belt too. Anyone have any idea where I can get hold of one for my kimbers? ta/
  2. as stated before, it's not about the individual elements, but what it comes together to create. Anyways, they're not V12's, I only see 4 ports on each side!
  3. my perfect v12.. All Springer controls, crossed-cannon grips, bomar sights.
  4. Only my opinion, but I really don't like the look of that V12. Don't get me wrong, we all have our vices, but the combination of ring hammer, sv trigger, monkey grips and magwell/magbase really doesn't sit well with me. Still, bet she shoots like a dream with all that work done
  5. boomarms custom = prime, so.. not really. Prime kits usually need a fair bit of work to get them running smoothly.
  6. They seem to get things right very often, but when something's out of stock, they seem to get it very very wrong.
  7. I did actually buy them for my incoming CDP II, but I couldn't resist. And now I have a pair of real kimber grips for the CDP as well, so all is good!
  8. RS Raptor grips, only available to Raptor buyers or as replacements for existing Raptors owners edit - or eBay
  9. yep, but I also find that lining up the sights is alot quicker, because the scales look like a row of horizontal lines when you're moving to aim.
  10. I don't think you can really judge the Raptor till you've held it, I've held a fair few full metal 1911s, and this feels the best in the hand, no doubt. The scales along to top of the slide and the front strap scaling are practical, as well as downright pretty
  11. that's the problem, you need to use a very small amount to stand any chance of stripping the frame with ease... I originally tried blutac.. but it would only work for a few tweaks of the safety.. I can imagine that wrapping the pin part in cellotape until it fits very tightly might also stop it wobbling quite so much.. ta.
  12. Gotta be at least 1000 dollars in this gun.. grips alone were 3 figures.. ta.
  13. nope, no wobble.. but that might have something to do with the dab of loctite I used when I first installed it last year.. :S
  14. Thought you guys might appreciate a little Raptor Pron ta.
  15. They fit 1911's, and the WA is 100% accurate and accepts all other grips intended for use on 1911's. So that's a definite yes.
  16. Got a quote for the guilding yet? - edit - in other news, sadly I won't be able to put my Raptor grips on the CDP II.. .. because I just bought my Raptor II back
  17. Crimson trace laser grips utilise quite powerful lasers, other than that, I'm sure they're fantastic. Just don't shine them in anybody's eyes -- Although, IMO, Springers need an old-school look (unless its a TRP or something), and so a pair of crossed-cannon grips would be the best choice in my eyes.
  18. One thing I would like is the ability to close my own threads. It would save the mods and posters alot of time when questions have been answered.
  19. Wow, what a great show of your calm and reputable sales skills.
  20. Oh god, I didn't think it could get any worse. I was wrong.
  21. I am starting to believe the rumours that current scw3s are lower quality, I'd still say my bob chows were perfect, but other models dont seem to be holding up as older models did Best stock quality WA that I've owned is the fbi trial, really amazing, and would happily smash beer bottles at range. The reason I sold them both was, a) the total lack of availability of metal kits or upgrade options when I bought them, and b ) the lack of the hybrid slide for the fbi
