  1. Well there are some guys over here in Walloniƫ who got some to, a guy who got his about a year ago taught a guy who got one a week ago how to dismantle it, side by side... and they could not see any differences internally... 100% the same The second, reinforced, stock does come with it though, the material is thicker and the mounting bracket the stock is molded onto is larger and more substantial, but not much, but it is sturdier... But I still think the stock problems didn't run completely through that first production run... Although I know two guys I know directly received there's b
  2. Awesome, I love mine... I read in some SEAL biography that they carried them in the field and in town scoring some tiger beers... So finally found one over at Redwolf's Tanaka "Heavyweight"... So without further adue... Smith & Wesson M36 2" barrel " Chief Special" Also found a yea'olde holster and some oldskool 60's Pachmayr's, those grips are the next best thing after sliced bread... damn
  3. Made some progress... Added wall thickness and some other small details, had to restart several times as I started on the wrong foot and made some stuff overly complicated... live and learn...
  4. Hey that's pretty interesting, elaborate...
  5. the story continues as they say... left-hand feed stoner in the making...going way better then expected, patience and time go a long way
  6. Goh, it can be done... but it's pretty hard... the 56 has a whole mounting bracket that is part of the receiver itself... the wooden stock slides on that bracket ( actually two brackets ) and then you screw it down. There is some serious welding involved in you want to do it right starting from the 56-1... It would save you a whole deal of trouble and headache if you tried scoring a Type 56. Try the second-hand market or sent out a couple of dozens of e-mails, or beg your store to order one for you... one will eventually pop up
  7. Well saw this a couple of weeks ago and I couldn't remember if this was new or not, with all of the GBB stuff this past year and all http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7H-a7ZTRJEc&feature=related
  8. Say, has anybody seen anything on the FAL GBB rifle ? I'm sure I saw a vid somewhere but can't remember being it posted up in the news section ?...
  9. Well here is my MP44 or is it more a MP43... Still a little bit of work to it, need to darken up the pistolgrip more, and a couple more coats of Birchwood more on the handguard and gaspiston housing, and a few other bits and bobs...
  10. yeah I noticed that to on the first run, after that I changed it out tot a systema soft together with a H-element black nub, I 've been getting pretty good results ever since, mind you I brought her down to 300 fps to prolong it's life, so it works great with the soft rubber... if you run it at higher fps I don't know what rubber would work with that and as double_a has mentioned it isn't that hard to take down I haven't had any problems with the box and it's 9V keeping up the feed, I rarely shoot for more then 2 seconds at a time, so couldn't say. My buddy has had some problems in
  11. yup, those are some great batteries, I also one of those RC type batts... great ROF with 7.4V and 30C, without tearing up your gearbox to little bits. Sometimes people ask at games what kind of voltage I run it on and nobody tends to believe it. I also am very happy about those corally connectors, some people call them "golden bullets" I think, you can even here the change in ROF, for the better! Last week I got a 9.9V LiFePo to try this weekend, I was thinking about getting one for some time and ordered one from hobbyking, already went about about tinkering with it and the results spo
  12. @Robinio, sweet rifle, very nice. G&P's still has the best externals I think Here's mine, Pointman, G&P XM177E1, Colt model 609
  13. Forgot I had already posted up some pics on page one of this topic, well here you go then complete Stoner, battery, BB's full load is about 4,5 Kg compare with an unloaded G&P M16A1 0
  14. I will weigh them both tomorrow, I run around with both regularly and it don't think there's that much of a difference
  15. well had a spare 603 upper laying around... so..... wasn't hard to make a machined-off FA 605 with it
  16. here's the latest build finished, Colt model 605
  17. Never heard they make them, could be... But never seen them Best bet is to have one laser engraved I guess
  18. look at the previous page my man
  19. Well underneath the grub screw you tightened down you have a tiny, and I do mean tiny spring and a small rod, This rod grabs into two very small, holes in the receiver, pinhole size. on and off safety... My safety didn't always engage properly in these holes, didn't hear the reassuring click you get with other safeties, mainly AR type stuff. I was happy that one day the little spring decided to come out on its own, it was a *suitcase* system anywho.. I replaced it with a spring almost double the width so it has no play whatsoever in the grub screw channel, and twice the length and
  20. Ah, wel yeah that happend to me to, I tightened it up to, but after a game or 10 it worked itself loose all over again, drop me a line if you need some help later on or something
  21. I have a solution for that, and actually it's better then the original Don't know for sure, It's been a while since I broke down the gearbox, but I seem to remember it sure looked like a regular M4 nozzle... You will need to break it down nonetheless to repair the safety, so you can directly have a look at the nozzle to make sure Will get back to you later
  22. Yes it's possible to fit a real scope, there is a mount that comes with the Tanaka Kar98K, I don't know for sure what type of scope though, maybe zf41, You should ask on a more WOII orientated forum perhaps ? Sure I think the difference between the barrels and related accuracy between the two models is minimal, if you fit aftermarket parts to it, then the difference is almost negligible. At www.gasguns.com is a great topic on Tanaka with people that know a great deal on their rifles
