  1. My PMC mod, shorter than an 8" PDW. Has a rate of fire and recoil to boot, both power (390fps on 0.25g) and accuracy is surprisingly good. Fires 2 mags on full auto before it runs out of gas, which is quite a feat given the WE AK platforms are very very gas hungry. Downside....mags are way too heavy as a PDW. Still rocking my WE MP7 because its light and compact, with only marginally less power (360fps on 0.25g)
  2. If its anything like the WE MP7 I have it should go for a good solid 50-60m. I am keen to get one, may wait for the reflex sight version
  3. Freelander 2006 TD4. Was involved in a crash at some stage which resulted in slightly warped wheel hub assembly. This meant that it wore bearings every 3000km. As a result it have had 12 previous owners. Wasn't till my 3rd bearing set, which I decided to replace the entire hub assembly (which was cheaper than replacing the press fit bearings) thus fixing the problem.
  4. Thats a landie for ya... I have one such mystical beast also, gives me much grief...
  5. 10m? did it blow back? Sounds like either that the nozzle didn't close properly OR flute valve has been damaged.
  6. Hows the balance? Front heavy or rear heavy? And is there a chance gas will leak from the magazine to the reservoir on the gun?
  7. Problems: I found my MP7 has a problem on auto, where the first round would fire, and then the 2nd and 3rd round would be delayed as it sounds like light-striking. I have checked for bolt bounce. The design eleviates this issue so I can't see why this is occuring. But as I burst fire a bit more the gun becomes normal again. Semi-auto is fine. Temperature is around 14*C or so.
  8. Hahaha love the pic. I have to find a day to do a video.
  9. TM magic LOL. There isn't much magic really, if you have had experience with teching, there are plenty of guns which outshoot the TMs straight out of the box. Just that TM has a track record of being consistently above average. After many years of using everything else, going back to a Marui Next gen was kinda both taking a step forward and a step backwards. Other manufacturers have really stepped up their game in the finishing and materials used in the other guns, so marui is way behind on that. The accuracy and range of the next gen wasn't even as good as the Marui AEPs or any of
  10. No good for field though, gets into the magazine.
  11. ....In which case without chopping the semi-auto disconnector will cause the rifle to light strike instead. On the RS it won't be enough to puncture the primer, but GBBs will release gas and possibly cycle.
  12. You can cut the semi-auto disconnected and that would permanently fix it to semi. Anyways, after much testing, I have concluded that I have eliminated fliers with the default barrel and hop set up, by using a home made hop adjuster arm that takes normal hop nubs, and slightly modifying the hop rubber. Pictures will follow.
  13. It is either spring or torque I can work with either. I have double torque gears coming to test the theory. SHS motors gives good torque, Systema Magnums are a better balance for speed vs torque. The M120S I am using is the same length as the default spring and it works fine on 7.4v with a 16rps, until I pull and release near the end of the cycle. This is why I still think it is torque, rather than spring length, but will test when the gears come. I wasn't happy with the longish trigger response anyways, so I took the sector gear and milled off a sear, I have modded a V2 all steel
  14. I have checked for spring binding. The spring is a shortened M120 and has no problems fitting into the piston while compressed. Even cutting it still locks up on the 7.4v. Using an 11.1v I bailed it out. It IS a purely torque issue.
  15. Yeah I am thinking double torque now. The jamming issue gets apparent when battery has fired a few mags. Which is the cheapest torque gear option? I only see prometheus and thats not cheap.
  16. Further issues: The Shortened M120 spring tension (at 450fps) is too strong for a 7.4v 2000mah on a systema motor, which is really weird considering its going 16-18rps. Normally this configuration would pull an M130 fine on standard ratio gears, but it seems to be due to the gears being hi-speed rather than standard ratio. What is happening is that it is locking up at near the release point if I release the trigger half stroke. I have to remove the stock tube to release the spring. Since then I tested it without the blowback system and it is still locking up, which indicates th
  17. Telling you now it is a tolerance issue, as I fixed it. I fixed it not by tightening the nut on the stock barrel (you can't secure it on the stock barrel as it is clipped on with a steel C collar which rotates even after you tighten it). I squished the cut on the barrel to make it tighter around the guide in the receiver, no more rotation. Simple fix. I also changed the hop nub and sorted the hop inaccuracy issue. Simple fix. But yes anything with heavier ammo will shoot better but the instability with low ammo weight is suggestive of issues with the imperfections in the hop rubber
  18. Just upgraded mine with: - SHS Steel gears - deans connector - short M120 (stock springs from the JG M4s, which are shortened M120s giving around 380fps in a normal v2 mech) - systema magnum - nunchuk 7.4v 2000mah 20C. Rate of fire is around 18rps on a 7.4v, due to the Systema Magnum. FPS is around 440fps. Hop up + accuracy isn't as good as some of the guns I have had in the past but its skirmishable. Solved the front sight offset issue, turns out to be a tolerance issue with the outer barrel aligning with the upper receiver, where the guide in the receiver which keeps the barre
  19. what is a full auto lock out sear? that is cryptic. You mean an auto sear? the thing the bolt trips on the full auto return cycle to release the hammer in order to ensure the bolt is closed before it fires on auto? VFC website sells them, since the fire control groups are the same between a HK416/M4 and HK417
  20. I just picked up a CQB SOPMOD recently. Its nice, kicks nicely, but have a few gripes. - Plastic is just ABS. far far cry from the other FRP and more wear resistant plastics. - Alu receiver and RIS seems very crudely finished compared with G&Ps and VFCs - Accuracy, while it shoots straight and consistent, it lacks the power to have suitable carrying range. - 2 piece barrel for a Marui??? - The front sight is off centre a little, shooting to the right. Not perfect, but for an electric it is punchy and consistent, but falls behind in the game compared with other more modern m
  21. Even after I put in the maple leaf and new barrel, 10% of the shots were still fliers. I finally solved it by making my own hop adjuster arm that took a normal AEG nub. That solved the problem.
  22. If the FET is smoked it generally keeps firing without the trigger being pulled. I have had a few runaway guns which has had the mosfets fried and the mosfets start smoking and melting the stock. One actually bursts into flames. The reasons they failed varies, from static electricity, rain, or just random field use. I have now removed all mosfets from my rifles, but I run expensive motors, good wiring and good quality trigger sets so at 11.1v the contact erosion is non-existent. Even at M130 springs on 7.4v the ROF is around 15rps, so is more than sufficient for gaming.
  23. No, unfortunately. That and I have sold my VFC MP5s so thats no help.
  24. BTW, mine had no NPAS. Is that normal? I had to mod the floating valve distance with a dremel.
