Exactly! If there were a sub-forum devoted to picture threads, you could go straight to the WA Infinity thread, or the TM MP5 thread. Ooh, one other thing: maybe the rules for posting in these threads should be tighter? I mean, I'm proud of my Berettas and Raging Bull. But I don't go plastering pictures of them everywhere, because they look like every other Beretta/Raging Bull. There needs to be some rule that says "Only post if you have something new to show." Just my 2p worth.

Just a thought, but would it be worth having a sub forum for all the "Pivtures of your X" threads? It seems that General Discussion is awash with picture threads. It was fine when it was just the "Pictures of your gun" thread, but they seem to be growing daily. Pictures of your WA, VSR-10, it's outta control I tells ya! I appreciate that some people want to show off their kit, but mostly I don't care. I know what an M4 looks like, so I don't tend to read these threads. Am I alone in this?

I don't see it as a problem. If I see someone has a high or low rep, I go and look at who's given the points and why. Then I discount all the "+1 cos you lent me your pistol last week" and "-1 cos you're gay" points. Plus, you can go to the thread the point was awarded from and decide for yourself if it's warranted. I know, I have too much time on my hands.

Lot of work for the admin team, though...

I think the positive side is it would give the old farts somewhere to *badgeress* about newbies without putting newbies off by flaming them directly. I think that has some value.

Ah, but that's where the invitation only bit comes in. If someone pitches up who clearly knows there stuff and is a good egg, they can be let in. If they're still enquiring as to the best gun, or if they can shoot the cat with their bb gun, they are left outside the home of the elite. Simple.

Have to agree, I hate seeing posts where someone says "Cheers for that advice/link/whatever" then the person responds with "Give me rep points!" Surely, rep points are given out if you think the person deserves them, not because they've DEMANDED them? And I also dislike this whole "you give me a point and I'll give you one" and the "give me points to cancel out my bad rep" thing. That said, I think most people can handle this system reasonably and are doing. Now, if people can just understant that you can't give out negative points just because someone gave you one.

Excuse me, I got £1.92 out of that! Yeah, fair point. Not really funny when everyone starts doing it. Ah well, at least we've still got the trout slapping.

Can't help on the import thing, but posts in the Humour, Off Topic, and Arnie-Geddon Forums don't add to your post count. It discourages people from posting absolute tripe just to up their post count. Doesn't work on everyone *glares at Havoc*
