  1. Mints is that an OTTE gear hard shell or an ARCTERYX?
  2. Sorry, Otto took some of your comments out of context. I was never satisfied with my SP either (not when compared to LRB equipped BV guns), however from what I've seen personally they've preformed better than the WEs I've been around (but I'll bet money they were gen1s, with owners who bought the most trendy thing without fixing anything). Can see your side to the gas rig delemma, but personally I would prefer to be able to reload mags with a BB loader and not fumble around for a GG bottle or CO2 caplet every time my mags goes dry (which can be just about 1-2 hours depending on where
  3. I don't think that was the rig he meant but just in case it's a TAD FAST pack, with what looks to be some TAD pouches, and a bear paw IFF button/patch/nifty badass thing that was out of stock last time I ordered. Don't know what that patch is.
  4. Edited to remove unnecessary rant, see my next post. WETTI you guys are top notch, it seems like between the members here and your tech department you'll have one hell of a weapon by the end of the year. I'd like to see something a touch more gas efficient, I'd hate to have to lug around CO2 capsules or Green gas just to reload, one mags worth of gas is "ok", two mags full for a combat reload would be awesome. I'd love to see an SR-25, or L85 in the near future. Also I'd love some brushed steel barrels for an M16.
  5. You bought a stock SP (not going to talk about Shoie, never even shot one), no wonder you were disappointed, they HAVE to be upgraded (all the work is custom done by either Escort or AS4L, DTG might do it now) and tweaked and are quirky as hell even at that, mine was a major disappointment until I tuned it. It was A LOT of work but was very rewarding, had strong recoil once I got a stronger spring, like that of a .222, and range and accuracy was on par with my non H-nubbed AEG, which I no longer own ( a rough average not an exact description I know). DGs guns are not the exact same as E
  6. To the second part of your question, Yes. You'll have to rewire the handset so that it operates as a separate speaker all the time and only the mic on the PTT, otherwise you are broadcasting while the speaker is on and you won't be able to hear what anyone is saying because you are occupying the channel. After that you'll need to rewire the coupler. It's a moderate level task but with a little bit of patience and some electrical know-how it's doable. I have two, both I've re-wired the handset, but one I had a friend make an adapter for the coupler, the other (which disappeared in a hurri
  7. It has a couple of different layouts like the old school SERPA adapters. I think one is almost horizontal, probably about ~65 degree angle. Also it looks like you could add more holes yourself with a punch. It's pretty sturdy, right now I'm using it as a belt adapter, but I may put it on my "blast belt".
  8. This is a tan Safariland 6004 for regular framed 1911s on Diamondback Tactical's MOLLE adapter in MC...
  9. I ripped mine the first time but they fixed it for me... This may have been answered before but can you use gen one pads in the gen 2 shirt?
  10. So the difference is looks..... eh I like the gen1 better.
  11. I'm a bit slow to ask this, but appslapp what magnifier is that, and is that an aimpoint micro behind it? Do they work alright together?
  12. Yes and no... I'd rather be able to configure a BV weapon like that. I just like the LRB BV combo better than GBB. All I have is a bushmaster (I think I may pick up an FNC soon) but I'd like a good BV M16 to slap some of those new ACM externals on. On another note anyone used the TT kangaroo/joey hydro bladders?
  13. what is that on the left next to the bushmaster, not the Highlander, but the m16... is that JAC or....
  14. External rig classics /= GIM GG/Propane rifles best a GIM can do is CO2......if you have specialty mags and lots of CO2 capsules. Classics can easily swap between multiple gasses from CO2 to HPA. Watz pics of the routing please? Want to see how you run it to your weapon without getting in the way. Also what mag pouches are those with your asahi mags in them?
  15. Good to know, that saves me money...
  16. If you have a gen1 top do you notice a difference in the heat between it and the gen2? I've been using a gen1 top with force ten pants (have gen2 combat now) for a few years now and am wondering if it's worth trading in the gen1 top for the gen2.
  17. Gift from a friend.... The Flyye vest compared to my old vest Now I'm looking to get rid of the old one and my DD hydro pouch.
  18. Mints did you get the hat as a promo or is it on their website and I need glasses.
  19. Oh that blows. Looks like I'll need to make an order to DIYTAC and break out the heat gun.
  20. Velcro Flap lock? So it's just a piece of Velcro no Kydex or plastic hardware?
  21. Can you take pics of the clasp where the front plate attaches to the chassis?
  22. DIYtactical has Kydex (not sure if they ship to Europe) and all you need to do is go to a hardware store and buy a heat gun, they run around $20-40 US not sure what that is in EUR. If DIY won't ship you can look around for Kydex sheets, you can cut them pretty easily with pliers, and once it's heated it's a piece of cake to form.
  23. How does it fit, been considering buying desert fox's.
  24. Is that your own or did you buy it off of desertfox?
  25. Eh, it's more of a reflection of the fact that a campus full of real firearms had issues with people using fake ones because you can simulate "killing" with it, never mind it's one of the best military schools in the world. Just study harder, classes don't get any easier, but the Corps does take less of your time. Have fun frogging in, it'll be rough for a while, or it might not be seeing as how you already did Indoc, ect.
