seaweasel
I'm going to need a piston spring for a TM P226 I'm buying on the cheap, am I right in thinking this isn't the same as the hammer spring? Thanks.
Romulus
By 'piston spring' do you mean the spring that sits in a notch in the BBU? If so, that is indeed not a hammer spring. The hammer spring goes in at the back of the grip.
seaweasel
Thanks Romulus. The problem is that I haven't seen it yet! The guy I'm buying it from found a problem with the piston not fully retracting and was going to replace the piston spring and piston lid, but he hasn't had time to find the parts so he's giving me a discount on it and I was going to get the parts. The Guarder lid seems easy to get but the only piston lid I've been able to find is from Tokyo Model Company.
hkssr20det
Buy the Shooters Design Hi Capa piston (it fits perfectly) and it comes with a new nozzle return spring.
Italy92FS
I think you must change otherwise the recoil spring.
The Saint
Buy the Shooters Design Hi Capa piston (it fits perfectly) and it comes with a new nozzle return spring. Hi-Capa loading nozzle return spring is significantly smaller than the P226 one. UNCompany carries loading nozzle return spring meant for their P226. It works just as well if not better than the stock TM spring. I haven't heard of anyone's KJW P226 mangling its spring the way TM P226s have.
