Handsome Pete
When I load my 40mm 203 shells up, the bb's keep rolling out of the tubes. I was thinking maybe a thin layer of grease in each tube to try n hold them in before ive fired them. Any other ideas?
gzus11
the only one ive had personal experience with had a oring keeping the bbs in.
aznriptide859
^Madbull/KA grenades use that system. What model 40mm are you using OP?
Handsome Pete
G&P 40mms. If i put them in with a speed loader, do i then need to push them down (with a biro or something) further into the grenade?
blablabla
normally yes, there should be an o-ring to hold the BB's down
hwagan
I found the same thing with my ICS shells - Shove as many BB's into the shell tubes as you can with a speedloader, and shake out any loose ones - That should leave the shell filled to capacity with the ones that remain in the tubes. Handsome Pete
Argh yes thanks. Didn't realize the capacity was that low and so was over filling them. Thanks for all the replies. Cheers.
hwagan
Now all you need to do is find a n00b
cool-breeze87
On my last (and my first) skirmish one of the guys there had a 40mm grenade launcher, it was gas powered I think the grenade he had was an ICS Power-Up Grenade 72rds and he loaded it up using a speedloader and all the BBs fell out of the end when he tried screwing the bottom back on and when he tried loading it from the front they just all rolled out of the other end. I think the way he did it in the end was by loading it and putting it straight into the launcher without turning it upside down, I don't know whether it had a successful fire or not. Seraphim989
At the front of the shell there is usually an oring that keeps them in, as people have said. I lost it on one of my shells(how?) and now it won't hold any. Your friends oring may be missing
bum_fluff
A simple bit of cling film over the top of a 40mm grenade can stop any bbs spilling out, even if you have the O ring there bbs still fall out in vigorous activity.
Hakkon
You can also pack a bit of tissue paper or something in place of using the o-ring. (If you've lost it or whatever). I've used it a few times, and it seems to work ok. ++EDIT++ Ahh, hell. I didn't even notice that I necro posted here. Sorry guys.
