Stealthbomber
But I don't think cartoons and drawings are real. Because (apparently unlike some) I am sensible, and have that vital ability to distinguish reality and ficton. I don't think there's any need to get bolshie about it. I'm pretty sure AcOfSkulls (and myself) are simply voicing skepticism for the sake of intellectual discussion. Obviously, the knee-jerk reaction is to say "anything related to child porn am badz!!!" and there IS clearly more to the situation than that. That doesn't give you the right to respond by saying "I have my POV cos I'm sensible" with the implication that anybody who doesn't share that POV isn't sensible. M'kay? *EDIT* Unless you're saying that some kiddy-fiddlers can't tell reality from fiction, in which case you raise a valid concern over cartoon images. Apologies if that's the case. I was trying to suggest that the people responsible for the law the OP mentioned are not being sensible. Should have made that more clear, sorry.
Stealthbomber
I was trying to suggest that the people responsible for the law the OP mentioned are not being sensible. Should have made that more clear, sorry. Fair do's. TBH, I was gonna make a thread about drugs after the whole Mephedrone (or whatever it's called) fiasco. Speaking as a pretty "normal" person (aside from the interest in toy guns) my knee-jerk reaction is usually to agree with the governments decision to ban various things but I like to think I'm enlightened enough to see that there are larger issues at hand. Seems like our government, these days, is trying to be our moral guardian and, IIRC, that was one of the things that I found most distasteful about the tories last time around.
