hitmanNo2
OK. A bit random, but has anyone noticed a decrease in hot air balloon sitings over the past few years? I remember a few years ago it was common for me to see three or four floating around on a nice, sunny Saturday afternoon. I saw one a few days ago and realized I'd probably only seen a hand full in the past few years.
Jon L
Had a nice trip in one the other day. ;p They are very weather dependant though. There were other people on my flight that had been trying for three years but the flight kept getting postponed due to the weather.
amateurstuntman
Yeah, I've noticed a lot less of them since I built my crew-served 120mm anti-aircraft blunderbuss.
hitmanNo2
Ha ha. So that's the reason then.
Samm
The lack of hot air balloons is likely due to the lack of nice, sunny Saturday afternoons!
hitmanNo2
True. But when there has been the occasional one you'd think they'd all be out. I mean, even during our 'summer' when it was scorching, I barely saw any.
scorch
I have a friend that has one. And my company has a few that we take customers up in. As said, very weather dependant, and when it's not reliable people make other plans.
Cannonfodder80
Don't forget that with the state of the economy less people can afford to splash out on luxuries such as trips on a ballon
hitmanNo2
All these perfectly reasonable explanations. I was hoping I would uncover some kind of plot of them being rounded up for an aerial invasion of Wales to rain down Parmesan cheese from above or something.
sigma3
Here in the US it's because of Obama and FEMA camps.
