bankz5152
Hey Chaps, As a Uni project a group of me and some others are required to sell a product. We decided to sell 'Airsoft Proof' lens protectors for SLR cameras. They will not impead the image quality at all, almost crystal clear. Tested to 700fps with an Air Rifle loaded with hollowpoints - Ended in a light scratch Screws directly ontop of your current UV filter or lens This product means you can take your SLR into the feild with the peice of mind that your lens will never be damaged from a shot. Current sizes available - 67mm - Common Aftermarket Size 58mm - Canon Standard 52mm - Nikon Standard Though other sizes can be made on request. Prices - All £10.00 +4% for Paypal of Gifted Bank Transfer Thanks Josh. (note to mods, I do have commercial status so please do not delete)
PianoBlack
If you can ship one to the US, I'd be interested in one as my Nikon 18-105mm is a 67mm lens. Cheers, Piano

bankz5152
Yes I do. Heres a link to a fire video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QX3B6kugxPk&feature=plcp Please note the large dent is from an Air Rifle hollow point at point blank, 750fps.
renegadecow
As another product idea, you might want to look into ballistic covers for the screen at the back. Seen too many EOTechs busted up this way.
bankz5152
They already make those though. Interested? In one
yee245
Just curious, but how much would it cost for 77mm and 82mm sizes? Unfortunately, those are the two filter sizes my primary lenses take... (not that I've taken them to a field or anything) Also, while it seems the glass can take the hit, what happens to the threading if the outside of the metal part gets hit? Is it resistant to denting, and therefore potentially getting stuck to either your main filter threading or to something like your UV filter?
bankz5152
Around £15 - £20. The chance of the metal ring being struck is minimal. Though on tests it did not deform on impact.
