AG1212
I've heard some good and some bad thing about them, but those were old threads. What's arnie's take on them?
Beeingmyself
I have ordered a few times without any problems. 2 out of 3 times it arrived within the week and I live in Denmark.
kenxin
Legit shop, they are also official distributors for Prime, PGC and a few other high end kit manufacturers. I've had plenty of experience with them over the years.
Kratisto
It has a good reputation, but their website seems infected with malware. Avast antivirus keeps blocking access to it.

Kratisto
Sure, but the point stands that is very unsafe to give your data/paypal/credit card info to a website flagged as infected by one of the major antivirus vendors... Maybe is a false positive, but whatever the case Boomarms should be adressing the issue ASAP.
Crying Scum
I totally agree with Kratisto, even I get warnings from avast when entering boomarms.com
FTZ-WildeCard
Friendly guy who runs it (Johnny?) so no issues there. The main issue I have is that the pre-order for a Guns Modify SAI kit I put in back in August still hasn't been fulfilled yet. I know this is as much an issue with GunsModify and them having to catch up on manufacturing as it is an issue with Boom Arms. I'm tempted to ask for a refund but I'm well outside of my PayPal protection by now. I also get AV warnings from their website. It certainly wasn't that way back in August when I first placed my order.
hitmanNo2
Still getting an AV alert with Kaspersky too. But aside from that, they're a great retailer. There's not much they can do about the GM kit as they're waiting on GM. I'm sure they would refund you if you asked.
DeltaZero
Put an order through with them yesterday. Still not received a confirmation email. Payment has gone through on PAYPAL though. Is that how it goes with no confirmation email or should I ping them a message to check in and be sure?
castigador
Reason for a delayed response is probably the new year festivities.
Kratisto
Or maybe that wasn't the real Paypal website, but a fake one you were redirected from the infected Boomarms webshop, who knows?
DeltaZero
New Years festivities was the issue had an email from Johnny now. All is in order just got to wait for some stock to come in from their distributors.
Kratisto
Please, If you can, warn him that the website is flagged as infected by antivirus software like Avast.
DeltaZero
Will do chap, ill make sure it's in my next email to him!
FTZ-WildeCard
Ah so he replied to you, but hasn't replied to me asking about my GM order... haha. Not dodgy at all. I'll drop him another email, hopefully he will reply to this one.
DeltaZero
He's been very busy with New Year and christmas etc apparently. He's just a one man band so apologised for missing my initial order. Still, drop him another line regarding the GM kit, it may be that he has more information now.
FTZ-WildeCard
Just done that. I may just apply for a refund and go with my original plan of an FNX45... Or be sensible and save the money.
hitmanNo2
Supposedly he knows about the issue with the site and it's only an issue for some people. Squad 701 is more in the know about it. And Johnny didn't reply to my last e-mail about the GM kits either. I guess he's sick of saying he hasn't received them yet.
castigador
No problems with boomarms from my side. In regards to the GM slide. I ordered that one to, although through bunnysworkshop, that was 14 months ago and I (and bunnysworkshop) are still waiting to get any decent news from GM. Latest GM told was that they would try to be ready before the New year (failed) so don't count on it any time soon .
FTZ-WildeCard
For me the concern is that my PayPal protection lapsed many months ago and BoomArms has my money. If my emails are being ignored then it worries because that line of communication is closed! If he decides to keep my money then I'm stuck, I can't even request a refund. This wasn't a small value purchase either, so I hope you can understand my position too. Anyway, I've sent an email - hopefully I'll get something back in the next week or so. That seems like a reasonable time to wait.
hitmanNo2
I wouldn't worry. Johnny is a decent guy. I can't imagine he'd screw you over.
