Lightning10
Do you normally disassemble you gun before you paint it or do you leave everything together? I couldn't find any threads before, I have never painted a gun before, and don't know any one who has, so all help is appreciated. Don't know if it helps or not, but I have the SRC-4 Lightning
Crandall
WTF is "Cuber", I believe you were attempting to make an adjective of sorts. Anyway it's all about personal choice on wether to leave the gun alone, or take it apart, I personally went for the former

sp00n
If your going to spray the whole weapon, just leave it together. If you just want to paint the receiver or what-not, take it down and paint it seperatly.
CapaciousZepher
Um...if you want a more concrete answer then we need more info. Such as do you intend to paint the whole gun or just the stock and handguards and such. As has been said before, if you want to paint the whole gun then just leave everything together and spray on a couple of coats of krylon paint and you're set. If you want to paint just certain areas, ie. handguards, stock etc. Then remove those and paint them. It's really not that hard to figure out Just do what works for you. LoneWolf
I always remove any electronics or fragile parts before removing, or simply, I remove everything that could be damaged by paint, and mask-up everything that I don't want painted. Cheers, Mike ™
