MarineDEP
Here Go. This was my first impression. This was about two years ago, when I didn't have a digital camera - so, sorry for the grainy pics (Kinda looks like it was taken in the early 90s, during the Op ) This is accurate gear-the information was gathered from reliable sources (Members who were involved with the conflict from a BHD forum, including Pictures taken of the Rangers & Info taken from the BHD book) A lot of the rangers didn't carry the M9 bayonet, or atleast most of them (Under Captain Steels order) Most didn't carry a lot of water (given, they thought the mission would last 30-40minutes) They carried as much ammo as possible. Some rangers, because of the lack of supply on the Woodland RBA - wore the Black 'Delta' style body armor. I'm not positive if the Rangers had knee pads, Some of them in the movie do - so I just got some anyway (also, I played airsoft in a rocky, rough terrain ) It's a fun loadout. Most people go with the Delta loadout w/tricked out Car15s & Such, But I enjoyed the ranger loadout - and a lot of people liked (considering its a unique loadout) Ya just gotta have the right stuff Kit List BDU Belt (Black) Woodland RBA (Ranger Body Armour) ALICE Gear: LC2 belt (OD) Y-Harness OD Butt Pack 3-4 M16 Pouches Compass pouch Canteen Pouch w/canteen (Some rangers only took half a canteen full) M12 Holster (NCOs,SNCOs, Officers, & Gunners) Clothing/Head wear- PASGT Kevlar Helmet 6 Color Desert Helmet Cover USGI Sand/Dust/Wind Goggles (not pictured) 3Color Set DCU w/full color reversve american flag Hatch knee pads Altama Desert Tan Boots Weapons- M16-A2 Beretta M9
Lance Jackass
Does every American own a US flag? They just seem to crop up a lot in photos, thats all. Ask Unlimited_Ammo, he'll get you a full kit list. And when you do, tell him LJ sent you. He'll like that...

Yes, Most people from the US bought one shortly after 9/11 in the wave of extreme patriotism... it seems as of late people are barely supporting our government, which is not a good thing being as our president has two years left in office, and with out our support the country will fail... but thats my viewpoint

SWORD09
ok, well back on topic...... you need to remove the Airman First Class rank if your going for an Army loadout...
AirForceOne
Thanks for the replies you guys... MarineDEP, thanks for the pictures but...it doesn't look right. I think your vest needs to be a TAD bit bigger. And doesn't the load bearing suspenders need to be longer? Like the pouches need to be lower than the waist? Thanks for the info anyway. And I must agree that the ranger loadout is very unique. Lance Jackass, I searched the forums "Unlimited_Ammo" but could not find him. Any ideas?
MarineDEP
Yea, I don't have a SAPI Plate in the SAPI Plate carrier. So it's not as Chunky. But about the ALICE Thing, you're just judging that from the movie. Not only is it for comfort reason, but from pictures & from the movie (if you have the 3-disc BHD collection, on the 2nd or 3rd disc they taped the whole "ranger" orentation the actors went through. One of the rangers shows how to properly wear the ALICE gear on the RBA - so it's not swinging every). But really in the end, its personal preference. I pretty much gave you the kit list, the basic stuff worn by a US Army Ranger Riflemen during the operation. BHI stuff wasn't around then, basic USGI ALICE gear was still issue, even to Rangers. Basic RBA, PASGT Kevlar Helmet w/6-Color Desert Cover, 3-Color DCU, Stnd. USGI ALICE gear, etc.

AirForceOne
Hey, when looking around for the m16 pouches, BlackHawk's version is pretty espensive to me, plus I don't like how it locks (is that what it looked like in the movie?) Will somthing like this work, but in OD Green?: Also, How does this pouch attach to the belt?
Sgt Craig
That pouch attaches using the older "ALICE" clips

Just a simple ALICE Rig in OD: Suspenders 4x Mag Pouches Buttpack 2x Canteens (at each side of buttpack) Then Ranger Body Armor, you can get Guarder replicas of this. AirForceOne
Thanks and how does the butt pack attach ? It looks like you tie it with the strings that came with it to the belt or something. Can it also be attached with ALICE clips or not? And, ALICE clips strong? They look like they can slide off. Misfit
It's attached via ALICE clips
AirForceOne
Ok thanks. Ok so most of the gear I might be getting from Ebay. The RBA will be from AEX. The total amount of the load bearing suspenders, web belt, 4x m16 pouches, a butt pack, DCU BDU shirt and pants, 2x canteen pouches, and pack of ALICE clips if necessary I have calculated will total be around 31 bucks excluding ship. The rappeling gloves, boots, and helmet will come later. Is this good so far? Thanks
