Logically, this is the point where one of you asks for proof of the others statements. Why would any parents want their child even talking for contacting scammers or criminals? This kind of *beep* makes this sport even less popular, so everyone out there thats thinking about scamming someone, DON"T. I guess I don't understand why you don't or aren't willing to throw the hammer down? It's not like he's going to go to prison or something and you may end up getting your gun back. Why not tell his parents or work something else out? Quite frankly, it seems like he just doesn't want to get into trouble and he doesn't seem remorseful. And it will not stop him scamming others. It doesn't matter which way you look at it, the lad is a conman, a thief, the lowest form of scum. It's that simple. Trust me, if you want to make sure he, or his (alledged) companion cannot scam anyone else, then you will need to take it further. If he is a minor, make sure his parents know. If he has been using an alias, and receiving mail under that alias, then he has been committing Federal Mail fraud (is that right, not sure as I'm a Brit). Speak to your local plod. (and likewise he'd hardly have asked you to mark it computer parts if it was going to a freinds house anyway) judgement call for you I suppose theres little chance of getting the gun back (he could well have sold it traded it on localy already) without getting his parents involved. Fear of god and a few sleepless nights waiting to see if you call him on it would probably be punishment enough if it was me on receiving end of his scam but then I can afford to take the hit on the gun itself and treatthe good trades as balancing out his bad one (though if I couldnt afford to not sure I'd be quite so generous with him) stevie Link to post Share on other sites

You need to have another little "talk" with him that involves a discussion on when you can expect to receive your gun back. I think that story he gave is BS because he was so afraid you'd do something. You should call his parents. Can't you get their number from the address lookup? I know you could call information (for a small fee) and get it from them. They'll ask for the city, state, address, etc. I'd be much less forgiving. You have to want your gun back, right? Its just that people like that really get to me, after reading the aim convo it didnt seem like this kid even cared about what he did or that it was even wrong. The only version of events he's stated is in a paragraph he added to the rep point he was given by Ryu - Very strange indeed. On another note he says "Look at my rep, I would never sell a piece of **** like that". However there is another neg rep from Victory regarding a trade that went south, although it doesn't give any details (at least none that I could find) - Once biten twice shy, thats what they say. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> This is a bit old, but if you want details, look at my Reputation.
