It looks like he was shoot squib loads or something. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It might have been a GBB or something. I think that the JGSDF uses airsoft guns for training purposes, which is why the TM Type 89 is full-metal. Also, I lol'd at the Grease Gun. No wait, near the middle of the video, there's a little skirmish, and one guy pushes another down and fires a pistol into his neck. There's this weird puff of smoke, so it may be a blank firer or something.
sekiryu
I didn't know they used suppressors either. I nearly bust a gut when that guy started shooting people with a crossbow.

dismemberd
In the first video, when the guy is holding up the guns... what are those last three things? P.S. Am I the only one who gets guzzi hero, and sekiryu confused?
sekiryu
P.S. Am I the only one who gets guzzi hero, and sekiryu confused? Yes... The first of the three in question was an anti-aircraft launcher, the next was a crossbow, and the last was a blowgun.
Crispin1025
BWAAAHHHH! Next. No offense, but when was the last time they say offensive military combat? I sincerely hope that that stuff in the video is outdated by now. Cheers, Daniel
sekiryu
offensive military combat You're missing the meaning behind JGSDF: Japan Ground Self-Defense Force. They're a defense force meant to hold off invaders long enough for allies to jump in and help. Not to mention, they're trained by US Marines and hold annual live fire excercises in Washington state (can't remember the training area, name starts with a Y).

sekiryu
It looks like standard JGSDF OD BDUs. I think the reserve units and Ranger trainees are the only ones who usually wear them.
YukiRoh
I live in Washington The JSDF trains at a few locations in Washington. The main two that I know of are Ft.Lewis and the Yakima Training Center. They do CQB and MOUT training at Ft.Lewis which you can see on youtube.
Shinden
They also train in Hawaii, it's really classified though so I can't say much. I had the honor to talk with them.

YukiRoh
Yes, atleast the Leschi Town video is from Ft.Lewis. The other videos may be from Washington as well but I'm not positive on that.
