E1 just need to release the damned tech 9 besides, i didnt think anyone had the "rights" to a dead companies markings. what would be wrong with just putting "SITES Spectre M4" on the receiver? The Insider Posted September 16, 2014 Author Report Share Posted September 16, 2014 yes.. some finer points like that would have been nice.and no word on a folding stock yet. oh and heads up ppls... if you want a AY model.... be quick...as they are about to be removed from HK retail, or sellout to not restock again, which ever comes first.Week after they get distributed we get told they not to be sold in HK.. lol...eg: ...airsoft global had it listed but now.... Sorry, the product was not found.although same thing was said about the AY vss.oh and another point of note.... several smiths have spent time trying to upgrade it and they can't get it above 1J.other than short barrel, not sure what the exact cause of this issue is. Horsem4n Posted September 16, 2014 Report Share Posted September 16, 2014 to get a short barrel up passed 350 FPS, you need to match the cylinder volume to the barrel length. the piston needs to reach full sprint before it starts to compress air down the barrel. it also helps is the piston assembly is not super light weight but you also need good air seal between the important parts. i have gotten over 350FPS out of a KWA gearbox through a 6 inch barrel just by installing a low volume cylinder and relubing air seal parts. but, i dont know what those "several smiths" have tried. The Insider Posted September 29, 2014 Author Report Share Posted September 29, 2014 I actually went to a competition yesterday and took the spectre as a joke "back up".Although had a great practice on Friday with my race m4.... it died (busted spring guide jam) 3 shots into the competition.So was forced to use the spectre for the AEG section of the comp.Luckily it was a 2 man team comp... as my team mate could easily focus on and nail all the long range shots with KC-02.... and I run around mostly point blanking all the short range targets with spectre.And in that roll it worked out great and we posted some good times.But the model does seem to have power iusses / limits... and tinkering fingers have created a hop up issue in my model.So need to remind myself... My only hope is that the mags won't fit in my webbing and that might just hold me back form buying one and putting my P* in it. Is the nozzle compatible with any existing nozzles? That might also help me to resist. Well, AsiaAirsoft have some larger capacity midcaps on sale looks like. Could just be another copy and paste error.
