Revenge Seeker2
"KWA RELEASING NEW AEG ENGINEERED SPECIFICALLY FOR CLOSE QUARTERS BATTLES" "Rosemead, CA – November 1, 2007 – KWA USA today announced the introduction of a new AEG, the KWA KM4 CQB Carbine. The new AEG was designed and engineered specifically for close quarters battle scenarios where low velocity and high rate of fire is required. After the successful introduction of the KM4A1 LiPo-ready AEG, KWA was overwhelmed with requests from around the world for an airsoft CQB weapon suitable for indoor facilities imposing a 350 feet per second limit. This was not an easy task because reducing velocity yet retaining high rate of fire is not as simple as replacing the recoil springs alone. All internal components must work in concert to achieve KWA's high performance and durability standards. The KM4 CQB is "LiPo-Ready" and share all the advance features found on the KM4A1 plus several new enhancements like the new heat sink motor plate to dissipate heat buildup generated by the high speed performance motor. All of the internal components have been re-worked and re-calibrated to provide maximum rate of fire but maintaining velocity below the 350 FPS limit. Straight out of the box, the KM4 CQB shoots consistently at 340 FPS and fires 20+ rounds per second using .20 gram BB. The KWA KM4 CQB is a state of the art airsoft weapon and is built to last. The KWA KM4 CQB will be released in the US on December 01, 2007 and will only be available through KWA USA Authorized Resellers. Suggested retail price for the KWA KM4 CQB will be $315.95". Blazer
I find my cynicism overwhelming me here... 350fps for CQB? Sheesh... So I guess this not really aimed at the British market then?
Revenge Seeker2
Hmmm... I didn't think about that...lol... my bad... Have the original KWA M4 even been posted here? Wow, the first KWA M4 is really something else and I feel really sorry for British airsofters if they've never heard of it before. Not insulting you guys, but the stats on the KWA M4 is really something special and it would be a shame to miss out on.
Shinden
350FPS in a CQB arena sounds like our place! That's our weekend regulations for our store's field so nothing alarming, but this gotta put those JG's to shame.
Frakk2k
We have M120tune max in our CQB site. As long as you use a bit of sense, its no problem But hey, we are crazy Vikings anyways. *runs off barechested*
Revenge Seeker2
Well, the 340 fps is a downgrade from the original 400+ of the first M4 for those of you who aren't familiar with this. There's a great member at ASF, Allizard, who posted a review on the first KWA M4a1: http://community.tradersairsoft.com/showthread.php?tid=224 Everything about the gearbox is fascinating. Shinden
Oh yes just to add, KWA is also working on the fullsize KM16A2 and a KM4S next year!
Gigueand
Well, you've got take what the retailers say with a grain of salt. People use CA M4 CQB-Rs outside all the time. Retailers don't design guns for specific purposes, they design them so they sell and make money. They are happy no matter where you use the gun, as long as they get their money. Magsz
"designed and engineered" lol. Soooo, KWA changed the "recoil" spring and thats what they call "designed and engineered" for CQB? All in all, despite my poking fun at them, their mechboxes are definitely a step in the right direction towards quality.

uscmCorps
I'm just not a fan of those trades. Anyone know if the KWA's accept G&P or KA metal bodies?
Revenge Seeker
I'm just not a fan of those trades. Anyone know if the KWA's accept G&P or KA metal bodies? I believe I read somewhere that they aren't compatible with aftermarket metal receivers, but I forgot where I read it. I guess you have to read Allizard's review and see if he mentioned it. I guess you have to read Allizard's review and see if he mentioned it. I skimmed through it, but from the sounds of the review he still hasn't cracked it open yet to take a look inside, let alone test for compatibility with other MBKs.
Gigueand
I've also heard that the recievers were slightly different due to differences in the gearbox. I know that there is anothEr review of the KWA M4 out there that does disect the gearbox... Can't seem to google find it...
CapaciousZepher
According to someone who posted in the review the gearbox was a perfect fit in a TM body, Hurricane metal body and Hurricane 416 kit. All that had to be done was a bit of trimming on the nossle. The gearbox will not fit in a classic army receiver however. Cheers! - CapaciousZepher
Revenge Seeker
Oh yes just to add, KWA is also working on the fullsize KM16A2 and a KM4S next year! What's a KM4S? Don't tell me that's a M4 s-system...?
Shinden
It will probably be another railed M4A1 (not 100% sure), but I cannot be sure if it will be a S-System type. The M16 model would be impressive if the power is near 500 stock, but I believe I am looking at around 450~470FPS.
Galaxy613
...The M16 model would be impressive if the power is near 500 stock, but I believe I am looking at around 450~470FPS. That wouldn't be impressive, what would be impressive is if they had it 500 stock and it was reliable at that volcity.
Azulsky
I think Allizard got a touchy feely session with one of these and he said they are slighty upward of 20rps with the lipo batts. Would make an excellent CQBR base, duracoat that baby and its good to go.
Shinden
I'll give you a heads up with a talk I had with KWA's VP. The M4 CQBR will shoot under 350 FPS and fire at 25 rounds per second. Just to add, the KM4 CQB are limited production runs as there will only be a total of 300 guns available. This is just a snip from our talk online, so at Power Edge we will have this gun in stock soon.

Shinden
We are going to get one so I'll post the link to our online retail shop once we have them in stock. For now we don't have a pre-order on it.
