MikeG
I've always been confused by 'bore up' kits. How is it that you can increase the diameter of the cylinder past stock? I thought it was already limited by the dimensions of the gearbox.
sadigh
The cylinder on bore up kits has a larger inner diameter than standard cylinders, making the walls of the cylinder thinner than standard cyliders. The outer diameter remains the same.
Magsz
Its only an increase in 1% of the cylinder volume.
-Drake-
But its made in pretty colours.
T0p Sp!N
But its made in pretty colours. Pretty colors that you won't see often, due to the fact that these pieces are inside your 90...
M0ldyM!LK
Wouldn't a bore up be essentially... useless, on a P90?
the_viral_phantom
Its just so you can say you have a bore-up kit in your p90. Viral.
Connery
It's just like cars though, the more colors, the faster you go!
Sale
It's not about volume to propel the BB through a longer inner barrel. If it was, why are there ports on the cylinder? A larger area of the piston head means that it pushes more air for every mm that it moves, which means if we fix the piston speed, the BB velocity will be higher. (Reaching sufficient piston speed is why they are not recommended with springs below M120.) Bore Up kits also have a larger tube in the cylinder head, which allows the air to be displaced more quickly. As all fluid dynamics, the effect is increased by the speed of the process. Just like aerodynamics are more and more important the faster your car is. The proportional difference in performance will be higher with stronger springs. The absolute effect of Bore Up parts is quite small in my experience, but it's still there so it's not a scam. -Sale
