chas
Video of Monda's FMP kit could end up being a bigger let-down for fans than Madbull's KRISS, but who knows? The Sten, to our disgrace, is just a springer; on www.asguns.com http://www.asguns.com/show.asp?showid=3973 Anyone know how to order from this site or is it just for wholesalers? Fin
And then I found this Sten on www.asguns.com http://www.asguns.com/show.asp?showid=3973 Springer
BigAl
Springer or not, would look good on the wall next to a Viva MKII.
chas
Too bad but yes: its in the "spring shotguns" section.
my_plague_666
Springer yup, thats some epic fail
Fullauto
Should be noted that's not a mk2. However, springer or not, it could be a useful base for a conversion...
ancorp
http://www.asguns.com/show.asp?showid=3967 Cyma CM046 - Supposedly a AK-47 type 3 with a Version 9 gearbox (you can even see the blowback picture on the box cover.) Here's a video from way back when it was being tested out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?gl=GB&hl=...qi2g&fmt=
chas
NICE! I looked through the site but didnt spot that. The blowbacj feauture in that vid looks pretty good, bolt doesnt go all the way back, but it always ends up in the closed position, same as their MP5 EBB series. Hopefully theyll make an EBB AKMS and an AIMS soon. EDIT: I just remembered that site has had an AIMS for ages, so onlySatan knows when we wil get that or the new Cyma AKs. http://www.asguns.com/show.asp?showid=3809
BigAl
Should be noted that's not a mk2. However, springer or not, it could be a useful base for a conversion... It's a MKIII (which was a even more simplified version than the MKII) which is why I said it would make a nice wall hanger to go alongside the Viva MKII.

ancorp
More footage of the blowback AK. Could really use a 9.6 intellect or something, as the firerate is a tad low.
Fullauto
It's a MKIII (which was a even more simplified version than the MKII) Aye, got a book on stens on my shelf mate (incidently, excellent book - http://www.collectorgrade.com/bookshelf6.html, really well written). On further investigation, the image seems to have been poached for elsewhere: http://aa-ok.com/products/7-mk-3-standard-...ith-t-buttstock Perhaps it is a sten mk2 after all? Habakure
Even if it is just a springer I'd be tempted as has been said maybe a project to make it an AEG. But depends if they are readily available and price (Shoudln't be any more than £40 for a springer and thats pushing it).
BigAl
Definately a MKIII, note how the receiver tube extends further down the barrel than on a MKII. Edit: was tempted by that book till I saw the price, more than it cost to make a few STEN's in WWII!
Tom Andrews
Definately a MKIII, note how the receiver tube extends further down the barrel than on a MKII. Edit: was tempted by that book till I saw the price, more than it cost to make a few STEN's in WWII! And the seam along the top of the receiver.
