  1. Understood, PM inbound.
  2. Nice RRA hanzo. You inspire me to get better optics for my RRA as well. Since your RRA came with the RRA selector, did that package come with a 2 stage trigger?
  3. How's the finish currently holding up? It doesn't chip off as easily as the older Classic Army receivers right?
  4. Oooh ok. Thanks for the info. I heard good things about them, but they generally cost more right?
  5. That's a G&P receiver right? I'm liking the FN trades on there.
  6. Haha, I see nothing wrong with a gun with mismatched colored parts. It makes it look a little more authentic, haha. See it all the time with troops in the field when they swap optics around different guns.
  7. I've never considered getting Elcans for optics...but after seeing them on the last couple of pictures, my mind is changing. How do you guys like them? How do they compare with ACOG (the 4x replicas, not the cheap 1x reddots)?
  8. Haha, yea...the rust/corrosion looks authentic. It's not an aluminum body right? I don't think aluminum can corrode like that...unless I'm thinking of a thinking metal.
  9. Haha, ok. It looks great though! If I wasn't told it was airsoft, I would have never guessed it was an AEG. What exactly did you do?
  10. Wow, does it actually still shoot??
  11. Haha, thanks. The gun's no longer like that, but it certainly was different at the time. Too bad it reflected the sunlight too much, or I would have kept it that way.
  12. Haha, thanks. No, no drybrushing done that time. The receiver was metal, so I completely removed the paint down to the bare surface. I then prepared the surface, then 'forced' cold-blue solution on there. You can't normally blue aluminum, but you can lightly stain it if done correctly.
  13. Speaking of worn M16 receivers.... I did this last year back in March or so. It was inspired by the old GAU5 carbines with new M4A1 upper receivers the AFSOC guys would have used before most of them were replaced by the complete M4A1s. If I only had an A1 lower receiver, it would have been better.
  14. Nope, never posted how. I guess I was lazy and didn't bother documenting the creation of it at the time.
  15. Thanks! srpg, great find! I didn't have pictures for the inventory list, but looks like you found them. Thanks drake, and nice blaster, I like the Vltor furniture on there.
  16. Haha, thanks. Yep, it's a homemade can I made. As for the sling, it works so well, I'd hate to switch it out now. I was going to spray it khaki, but it's going to be going on my black AR15 (actual gun).
  17. I should probably just let the whole MK18/CQBR discussion die, but some VBSS guys do use CQBRs (with the M4A1 lowers), though they also labeled it as "MK18" on their inventory check list. So I suppose any AR VBSS guys use with a 10.3 or 10.5 in barrel, they'll label it as a MK18 in the inventory. But based off the most strictest definition, a "MK18" does have a A1 lower and A1 pistol grip. This belonged to a VBSS team. However, this is quite rare, since most of the "MK18"s I see do have the A1 lowers with the Crane logo engraved on the side of the receiver as well. I don't have a pict
  18. Haha, 'almighty' heh? Knowing myself, most likely not, haha. But I love what you did to that M4 with that SIR and Vltor stock....and the paintjob takes the authenticity to the next level. Blackhawk 5, great work for your first run. The stripes were well executed and not as blurred as I see often with first timer painters.
  19. It was an old slip on cover for a strap on a bag. Attached on via velcrow (wraps around the shoulder straps on the PC). I cut it into 2 equal halves and stuck it on, lol. This actually helps for 2 reasons. 1. Cushioning - not much better, but helps a little bit, and prevents the strap from moving as well 2. Better surface for the butt stock of the gun when aiming - the slip ons cover the buckles on the shoulder strap and makes for an even surface for the weapon when shouldered.
  20. Now that's one authentic looking paintjob. Good work! My CQBR:
  21. Finally figured how to arrange 2 Alice pouches and maintaining balance.
  22. In actuality, the operating system is pretty much the same as the AR with the direct gas impingement system..., so I don't see it quite as an AK variant either. Nicely done though, you just don't see SR47s very often.
