  1. Speaking of which, if anyone ever releases Poseidon's Vash the Stampede kit over on this side of the Globe, I'll be a very happy man...
  2. I'd be happy to see Caz or Ubar opped. Both tend to be on in the early hours of the morning much longer than me. The unemployed hoboes. Whilst we're on the subject (And because I keep forgetting to pm the relevant people), following a discussion a while ago with someone (was it Arnie? I forget...) is it possible for me to be granted global status in order to tackle any more potential numptiness online?
  3. That's incredibly sad. Never darken my door again.
  4. The RPK stays out of sight. It's a tad large to put on a shelf somewhere, anyway.
  5. Usually because you get banned from "other" places if you post on these forums as well... Intentionally misinterpreting things? Moi?!?
  6. My car was left to me as a gift by my deceased Grandfather, which was somewhat of a come down from my Ford Mondeo, but I couldn't refuse. To its credit it does 46-47mpg, and its puny engine musters 0-60 in 12secs on a good day. As any who frequent IRC will know though, there is the ongoing epic journey that is my attempts to buy a replacement car.... P.S. Doc: which religion forbids driving? Or was that just a joke which flew over my head?
  7. Well, this thread has reared its ugly head yet again, and the Americans are flooding it with their usual gas-muzzling, world-polluting vehickels (I'm only jealous), so here's my box on wheels: I should point out that's not my actual car, but identical. Mine's a 53 (2003) reg plate. If you look hard enough, you can see the rubber band needs winding up on that model.
  8. Right, dealt with the naff looking AK47 cocking handle (they really do let down the Marui rifles), so the RPK looks a little more authentic:

  10. If anyone's planning on spending that sort of money on a sabre, I really reccommend taking up a hobby that will enable you to use it without looking like a twit. There's a range of martial arts that involve using the sword, and any re-enactment societies (eg the professional outfits, rather than those laughable organisations that proliferate America), will enable you to at least learn the basic parries and ripostes etc. I still occasionally catch myself practicing them for no reason, even now...
  11. As for those of us who have better things to spend money on than plastic replica light sabres (like plastic replica firearms... ), does anyone know where you can get those cheap kid's light sabres from? I think I might as well get a half decent sabre to thwap Ghost with. I'd hate to damage his ego too much...
  12. Your Larping skills are no match for the power of the dark re-enactor, old man... Oh...hang on. I'm the old man! Erk...*spins around mid-combat for no reason and then evaporates into a pile of clothing* Edit: do you have two proper light sabres Ghost? I only have a cheapo £1 knock-off of Darth Maul's that I was bought as a joke years ago...
  13. Can do. I should warn you though: Was in a 15th century re-enactment society while at Uni. I'm a bit rusty now, but I'll be no padawan...
  14. Very nice. Now all you have to do is go join a serious re-enactment society and learn how to use them...
  15. As I said, I was largely indifferent to the issue. The forums were fine before its implementation, and I appreciate the strain the petty rep squabbles placed upon existing moderators such as yourself (which was the main reason I suggested, if it were ever to be used again, it would require additional moderators). I agree with your point in regards to the actual meaning of the reputation, and as I said, remain largely on the fence with it. It did appear to be finally achieving a degree of behavioral modificiation in terms of the level of thought most posters were putting into comments tha
  16. I'm afraid I'm going to have to sit on the fence with this one. I still to an extent believe that the the reputation system should've been restricted to the sale forums, and ONLY DISPLAYED in posts in those forums (to prevent idiotic, 'more rep than thou' nonsense), as typically (as Snowman quite rightly said) you can generally gain an assumption of character based upon the posts an individual makes. If you look me for instance, I typically waffle on in a random fashion and occasionally attempt something verging on coherency, and you don't really need to look at rep points to see that...
  17. Good man. This thread will be the way of the future!
  18. Don't know what you could possibly be inferring...
  19. After carefully studying the current trend in photo threads and the ever-increasing lack of relevance to airsoft, I decided that it was time to pre-empt its next logical step by taking Photo threads to a whole new level of airsofting relevance... So here we are folks! The Standing on one leg whilst conducting a Wagner suite (preferably being performed by the London Philarmonic) thread is finally here! All your related photos can be shown here. Just try and randomly insert a weapon somewhere, okay? I'd hate to see something off topic.
  20. ...But a lot of members are finding it hard to follow threads whenever Rob15 posts. I have no idea what happens, but for some reason he'll post something and then the ensuing few posts will vanish, with some odd seperate post appearing TO THE RIGHT of his own. All I can possibly think is that it's something about his signature which messes it up, or it's some random bug which affects only Rob. Anyone got any idea how to fix it?
  21. Hehe, cheers. Now fingers crossed nothing will go wrong with it - I've had to dissassemble it 3 times before finishing completion. Now I need to get an RPK74 flash hider, and some conversion kits for my 5 mags. For some freakish reason the threads are totally different between the Marui 47 and the RPK, so despite the insistence of the lousy Guarder instructions that I could screw the muzzle from the ak onto it, it only seems to work when I screw in backwards. Which does look cool, admittedly, but any mil-simmers will develop a nervous twitch if they look at it too much...
  22. Well, as promised, here you finally are: PSG-1 inner barrel seems to work marvellously. The wood looks a bit better in real life too - for some reason the light of the flash on the camera doesn't do it justice.
  23. For what it's worse, I do agree with the Yank posters, but as is already stated it's hard to police such discussions to prevent them from leading to a situation where, as far as people attempting to pick flaws with the forums are concerned (both outside and inside the sport, sadly...) UK players are being encouraged to participate in over the topic discussions... For what little it's worth, 1J discussions are allowed on the IRC chat room (at least until I hear news to the contrary, as so far in my Moderating of the chat there, I've been directed that it's acceptable), which is not an offi
  24. Only one I can't see is Antagon. Or is that intentional?
  25. Not really fair to pick on Arnie for something Laylax have sent him...
